Diablo 3 (Console versions)

Can someone give me a bit of advice here, I'm level 13 playing a Monk but I think I'm playing him all wrong!

I'm not struggling at all, infact its still pretty easy but I'm basically dual wielding crossbows and using rapid fire with slowing skills to root and kite.

Am I supposed to be using melee rather than this method?

Edit : According to the website posted further back it is totally wrong! But it works great so should I change or just carry on as is? Maybe keep
it like this till I start to struggle I guess?

I was thinking about switching from Barb to DH, I'm playing on Normal difficulty and I keep getting killed quite a bit. His still quite low level I've only got to the butcher. Dunno where I'm going wrong should I stick it out or swap?

Ok, well, thats embarassing to say the least!

Turns out I did pick a Demon Hunter after all although I did mean to pick a Monk, can't say I'm disappointed though as he seems to work really well but that explains my build confusion!

I've been playing Demon Hunter thinking it was a Monk and I've hardly died! Thats on Normal difficulty up to lvl 13 so far.

I would say swap if you are not enjoying the Barbarian, rapid fire kiting is great fun as well, can't say how a demon hunter will fare at the higher levels though.

On the PC it became brutal in Inferno without spending bazillions on gear. If something even glances at you, you die.

I haven't played on console anything other than demo but on PC i've finished game with all classes and barb within first 2weeks of release before all the nerfs when game was actually damn hard.

My main tip for barbarians is to forget about defense and just set yourself up so that you can 1 hit everything - they scale amazing from level 20-30 as you can have 3 passives all increasing your damage and your dps just jumps through the roof once you get a bit of crit chance and crit damage.

On PC I started with a DH and levelled him to Paragon 100. It is pretty difficult to gear him unless you spend millions and evn then playing him on higher mp levels was very difficult. DH are generally weak compared with other characters like Barb and Monk who have inbuilt additional armour.

When playing inferno levels it is easier to play using barb and monk who can survive better.

Higher MP levels gets better drops usually.

Do PC vets think this is worth picking up to play through again? I got it on the PC at release and got a good months fun out of it but haven't really picked it up since. Have heard the console version is an improvement and am tempted to go pick this up...
