** Diablo 4 Thread **

Anyone planning to start the OcUK clan?
Nobody has declared anything yet. I won't be able to start playing until Friday evening but if no-one has set it up before that I'll kick it off ( to be initiated you need to purchase one cosmetic item from the online shop and declare that necromancer minions are wonderful ).

Once someone has a clan set up please post the details in this thread, atho come launch it slikely stuff will get buried, ill start on Friday afternoon due to work.

Bnet ID is Sharpy#2557 if who ever sets up the clan can send me an invite cheers

Lustral#2839 here , will be playing from Friday and throughout the weekend. 99.5% sure I will be starting with a Rogue class , but not sure if I want to do HC yet.

Not sure I even want or need this. Seriously being driven by the hype and the fact that I grew up with these games. But they do not play like I remember.

For instance, is this going to be like D3 where everyone just grinds away for that same end-game set build? It's really pathetic seeing players all donning that same set gear that has 'unique' in its name lmao.

I think it would be easier if you figure out what you want from the game and whether it can provide it to you or not. The open beta played very well for me and I'm really looking forward to going through the story and into some of the end game until it gets too repetitive. I'm pretty sure the amount of hours I get from that till that point will more than justify the cost of the standard game.

I've never understood the worry that others have about how everyone else plays the game at an insane level and how that might effect their own experience when in 9 out of 10 cases, it really won't.

So, the day before early access launch : what’s everyones choice of class for their first character/build ?

I’m still undecided between lightning Sorc and melee Rogue. I’ve even thought about rolling with a Druid, accepting that early game will be a grind with payoff in the end game.

But the part I’m looking forward to the most is the MTX cosmetic shop. Ok, sorry, that last bit isn’t true :p :D:p
I'm going with female Rogue. Like how their armour looks.

Your best bet would have been to try it on the open beta weekends, that way you could have taken it for a spin to see if you liked it without having to spend any money buying it. Dont know what Blizzards refund policy is (or if they even have one) but failing that the only way now will be to either wait for a free weekend (most likely a looooooong way off) , try it at a friends house, take the risk and buy it and hope the game clicks with you or put it from your thoughts and play something else instead. As with all titles, its not going to be for everyone and its all a question of risk (cost) vs reward.

Will be starting with a Barb, Druid and Sorc, on Tier 2 HC.

well if you are going back to D2 era then there was specific gear and builds which where the best but you probably just didn't know about them. Modern gaming has a lot of the streamers and guide creators providing a service of information and guides to solve the games complexities. It's totally up to you if you consume them or just go in blind and have some fun.

I stayed away from all guides and what not.
Gonna make a deal with the devil ingame

I'm still on from the old D3 days, so don't need re-adding..

That said, £85 on a game that I'll not get a huge amount of time to play, the offspring liked D3 though so I might end up running through with her at some point when I feel like buying 2 copies...

^Yeah HC is perma death.

I'll be going Sorc for my first play through, probably go for a Chain Lightning build. My second will definitely be Rogue, I loved how it played in beta.

You do want it. You do need it. Buy it.
