** Diablo 4 Thread **

Have you just met the blood bishop?!

I just did side quests in the 1st area, Fractured Peaks, and the small cellars - came back to dungeons at a higher level.
Not sure, in the dungeon you have to collect 2 small boxes and put them on pillars either side of a chained statue, once you have done that you click on statue and it turns into a big boss, he keeps spawning minions as if he isnt hard enough lol

Its doing my nut in

been sittin in a 30 mins queue for ages, started at 30 min now at 38 min so lookin good for a blast this evening :D

I just popped in for a read before deciding whether to buy this, and I noticed this post. So if I pay £60 for this then I might not get to play it and be placed in a queue instead?

Tell me I'm picking that up completely wrong?

Unfortunately that's correct, there's been a few instances since the official launch (6th) where there's been some teething issues with logging in. The game functions as an always online deal, so if your gaming time is limited for whatever reason and you end up with issues you're out of luck.

I would wait a week or so until things calm down if I were you.

Thanks for the info. I'll steer clear of it completely; each to their own but I can't believe anyone would buy into that, but obviously millions do.

I think people are overstating issues a little, for a Blizzard launch this is much smoother than expected.

Had 1h of queue issues last night, the odd funky lag thing in game, but otherwise it's been smooth.

I've had three days where I've been unable to play, partially due to time constraints on my behalf but every time I've attempted to hop in I've been hit with well documented log in issues.

Good for a Blizzard release still makes it a very poor experience for those of us that have been even a little unlucky. Don't get me wrong, the game is great and I've had a blast with what I've played. But in hindsight I'd have waited a week or two for things to settle down.

I've really not experienced these issues beyond the one we all had yesterday.

Yes, its pretty much like any MMO in that regard, however there has only been a queue like that once since release, so its not a common occurence. I can deal with having to wait for an hour , one time, in the x hundred hours of playing.

Including today I've had them three days running, I actually documented some of it earlier in this thread. Fingers crossed when I'm back from the gym I'll be able to settle in for a good session.

Saw this earlier on Reddit. Made me chuckle.

Man, tried the Tier 4 capstone dungeon thinking I’d walk it…nope!

All 700+ tier 5 sacred gear, but only level 63. I wasn’t taking much damage but equally wasn’t doing much. I wonder if there’s a penalty for trying to attack much higher level mobs to stop you doing stuff too early. I hope so as I’m not sure how much I’m going to be able to upgrade by 70 other than paragon.

Basically just farming now as I’ve cleared all 5 regions in terms of altars, side quests and dungeons so I’m basically doing Hell tide and Whispers to farm gear. My own fault for racing through it but I hope I don’t get bored by July waiting for the first season.

I've just done it at 63 having previously attempted it at 57 where I got obliterated by the boss. This time I walked it, smashed the boss in about 30 seconds.

Difference was the uniques that I'd got since the last attempt which allowed me to move to my end game build. I dont think level alone would have been enough on my old build

Interesting. I might move over to the whirlwind build tonight and try again, I was still on my levelling spec in terms of skill points so that may help

Did it at 60, after trying at 56, 58, and 59. Had him at 10% health on 56 once, that i could not repeat. Ultimately the limiting factor from repeated attempts was repair costs.

Think the difference at 60 was more about knowing the boss than better gear. It was a good challenge, had my adrenaline going every time.

Just tried resending my request but getting the "clan has too many outstanding applications" message again. Blizz have certainly tried their hardest to make their multiplayer game has difficult as possible to be.. well multiplayer!

Appreciate the effort you are having to put into clearing the queue each time you're on, sounds like a nightmare. I'll try again another time.

Appreciate it the appreciation! To make matters worse, I ctd 50% of the time rejecting applications. Rest of the game is fine
