** Diablo 4 Thread **

Just got absolutely HAMMERED again by a dungeon boss lol im rouge and had to meet a woman who took me to a dungeon, think its called the "forgotten" something or other, i had to find a woman who had a coin with a hole in it
found her, she was mad, killed her, then had to free 3 captives in the dungeon which i did, then found a key which it said unlock gate with it, assumed its at the end of the dungeon so carried on.

Then im greeted with a big horned boss thing that puts green acid type circles on the floor and throws them at you as well, my attacks were doing hardly anything to him and yeah, after 10mins of fighting he demolished me lol

Didnt even get his health down to half! being a noob at this game is frustrating sometimes

Finally picked this up yesterday and got started as a Rogue, The paladin was my go to for D2 and I thoroughly enjoyed it and as its the same thing...
Done a few dungeons and hit level 20 this morning, finding it very enjoyable and not as brutal on the lower levels.

I feel you.. some of these bosses takes multiple attempts. I use this time to figure out their attack pattern and how to avoid it or work out a strategy. The worse thing is, when you die your equipment durability goes down so you can only do it some many times before you need to go leave and go for repairs!

Whats best to take as a minion to compliment this? Skeletons or Golem? I've come to realise that having both these takes up too much valuable space on my spell bar imo.

Dont use any pets, go into your codex tab and select sacrifice bonus for all of them it will buff your damage a lot.

My bonespear necro is doing stupidly high damage in Tier 4.

I am Bonestorm/corpse explosion/mist/tendrils/splinters and bonespear on quickbar.

Ok. Bought standard. Just done the prologue.
Died once. At the end when I unlocked a fast travel portal and realised I saw another one on the map that wasn’t unlocked at the beginning.

I tried to run back to unlock it before logging off and got too many foes on my tail I couldn’t defeat.

Presume death is no issue, I’ve just lost 10% health on my equipment.

Enjoyed the first part.

I see lots of other players around me now too.

Will test this one out, seen a few mention using sacrifice and getting the buffs needed to get a good solo build.

Tried twice, then thought **** that and left lol if im up close to him he puts down green circles and hammers me with his hands, if i get a bit of distance between us to use the bow he charges at me and hammers me, seems absolutely impossible if doing on your own.

The other thing is i dont think getting to higher level will help will it? as everything levels up with you, im only level 17 at the moment, i only squeeze in an hr here and there to play

Did you use Dodge by pressing the spacebar? It really does help especially when soloíng. There's been numerous times i've forgotten i had a dodge button lol.

rogue has a bit of a lull around that level range, should pick up 25+ when legendries start to drop
with rogue you'll usually have a dash + your evade skill for double movement to dodge the large boss windups

Yeah, i use controller and its b to dash/dodge, only thing is i can only use it once then it goes into cooldown for so many seconds, wish it was bit quicker lol

Play on controller and there is a dodge/dash on the B button, i do use it quite a lot but it goes into cooldown so cant spam it like i wish i could lol this boss just seems impossible to me, might have to see if someone can help me in the dungeon
 
yeah I remapped my melee rogue like this, for range you'd probably want R1 to be Dark Shrouds

L1 = potion
L2 = evade
R1 = Shadow Step
R2 = Dash

Your loss. I'm sure Activision can manage without your money. Meanwhile the rest of us are having a whale of a time with this excellent new game. :D
 
Tbh not even set foot in the shop. There's absolutely nothing that will ever tempt me to pay for a cosmetic on a game like this
