** Diablo 4 Thread **

watch till the end, its so accurate, thanks blizzard

A lot of people don't like Asmon, but he is spot on 95% of the time, he's very smart and has a very deep knowledge and understanding of how certain games and genres work, and if he doesn't he watches the vids of people who do.

I just don't understand it. 99% of the player base are playing PvE only and jumping on with friends to blast through some dungeons and get that nice power spike. Why the **** are they so afraid of their player base having fun?

I was so looking forward to Diablo IV, thought I wouldn't be playing another game this year.

Loved the first Beta, not so much the 2nd Beta. Then the full game came out and I got bored after a couple of week, the end game was a bit boring and the constant nerfs and inventory management was annoying.
I thought the new season/patch would make things better but they've not addressed the issues and just made it more of a grind etc. So it looks like I will not be playing this again any time soon :(

Nah Blizzard have just totally lost the plot with this game. I highly doubt I'll bother with it again. Got to level 100, explored the world, got my monies worth but it's not a fun experience after level 70, there is no end game and they just keep making baffling decisions with patches and adding next to no content in the upcoming season

What a **** show

I just gave my Whirlwind Barb a ... uh ... whirl and I can't keep Fury up, it's insane. I'm only level 68 and was okay with nightmare dungeon lvl19 so tried a lvl15 to see what the changes were like and died, lol. Ran out of Fury (again) and got battered. Exited and played something else instead.

That's me done for a while, what a waste of time.

Won't even see a proper sort for the stash of gems and aspects of power in the town storage until season 2 :cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

Thinking of going for a bone spear necro or twisting blades rogue as they both seem to be able to take down uber Lilith with no difficulty which bodes well for S1. Can't see Barb, Druid or lol Sorc doing well in S1 post nerfs but whats everyone else going for in S1?

Remnant 2 (Gunslinger) xD

You have to wonder what they're smoking over there at Blizzard, because they've just gimped one of the few viable Sorceror builds.... all whilst not fixing a fundamental problem with Ice Shards in that it doesn't always cast and fires over enemies heads. Dont bother fixing that, oh no, lets gimp their damage instead. Golf clap.

Im kinda happy S1 is here so I can play a class that hasn't been absolutely eviscerated by this patch (IE Rogue)

Id love to see the class stats for S1 because I bet Rogue is miles ahead of anything else.

This is the extent of leveling nerfs for open world content.

-50% xp for level 55 to 70.
-50% xp for level 75 to 100.

Helltides now provide 17.5% less XP than previously.

~10% less xp for mosters that are 1-10 levels above you.

Access to World Tier 3 and 4 are now level restricted, they require level 50 and 70 respectively.

This coupled with a 30-70% damage done reduction and a 30-70% reduction in DR stats means not only is the game significantly slower, but there are multiple barriers to progression and a significant increase in damage taken from all sources.

Oh and ahh, still no gems storage, and no more stash space. A week into S1 and we will see a significant drop of players.

Rogues will not be the best build as you rely on casting your imbuement if you are going for twisting blades, and a lot of this based on Vulnerable and Crit Damage. IN addition to this CC on elites is bad enough you will now have to wait longer to cast, the only route with rogue now will be penetrating shot on ranged builds.

  • got to level 92 and originally could do tier 45+ now with the nerf tier 35-38. The casting duration is longer and with the freeze CC on some elites will frustrate you with twisting blades as they do no damage already, it's still an issue with Crit Chance and with resistance not fixed till S2 TB will be nerfed more.

I think you're only allowed to post in GD, please go back.

Depends on the build you are going for but Twisting Blades will be thing of the past

Twisting Blades relies heavily on 3 things.
1. Poison/ Shadow/ Cold Imbuement :- Cooldown Reduction is now longer to cast
2. Vulnerable :- Now reduced by 40%
3. Crit Damage :- Now reduced by 17%

The issue with TB is duration it takes to cast your imbuement as this relies a lot on for example poison damage, as a melee you will be in close combat with elites, if you get Cric Chance by a freeze stun elite that imbuement is now pointless due to the duration cast. we all know that resistances are broken which is another reason why TB is going to be bad going forward because that's our main stack Resistance/Crit Damage/ either Vun or Cooldown.

Twisting blade rogue still looks strong post nerf as it still melts Uber Lilith

Hopefully they'll be quick to revert/fix this when they lose most of the player base. haha who am i kidding its blizzard they've already made millions from the hype train. Hopefully it'll at least be fun to play in a few years.
