** Diablo 4 Thread **

Couldn't play last night, time to log in now! Sounds like there were some login issues last night, but it seems like quite a few were playing at least which is good to see!

How are people finding it? Having fun?
 
Got a sorc to 25, tried multiple different builds, combat is impactful and fun but its not smooth, constant out of mana issues, I only assume this is more an issue with levels and lack of skill points.

Build wise frost/fire feel clunky to me, lightning specially chain lightning is really good but again 3 casts and your out of mana.

Overall though, I'd say D4 looks great, and the cinematics and story are leaps and bounds above Last Epoch and PoE, but gameplay wise, both LE and PoE have D4 dead to rights.

Aye, I'd imagine (and hope) that mana issues are just due to the low level restriction, hopefully that sorts itself out by max level :)

Really enjoying it, I went into it more hoping that it would be good than believing it would be good, given Blizzards recent track record but I've been happy with the outcome. Its pretty much exactly what I wanted from a 4th Diablo game. Very very happy with my preorder and will EASILY get hundreds of hours out of it come release.

Most likely will be the biggest selling PC title of the year and based on what I've played so far I expect it to be one of the titles that is in the running for my personal game of the year thoughts come the end of the year (currently Returnal is already in with a shout, I'm expecting Starfield and Baldurs Gate 3 to also be in my thoughts, though my prediction at the moment is that BG3 will end up as my GOTY but we'll see, plenty of time yet)

Great to hear! I've been playing a bit this morning and, other than some stuttering/loading issues which is just optimisation, I'm enjoying it so far.

Yeah, I was constantly out of mana with my pyromancy specced sorceror. Three casts of fireball and I was blowing sparks. I think this is intentional on Blizzard's part, though ... it appears they want the combat to be slower and more tactical ( plus timing the dodge cooldown ).
 
Seems this error 34203 issue is account related in some way. No idea what causes it but people on the official forums are stating that they can't log in to the game on their PC, but when they log into a different account (such as their partner's) using the same PC they get straight in.

I just cant bring myself to play on non-hardcore :)

On 4th character now due to deaths lol.

Love this iteration of the Barbarian, feels really meaty this time round in Diablo, also big shoutout to the music, excellent music
 
Yeah, the music and ambient audio is excellent.

Died once so far although have been close a few times. I ran into
the butcher, who apparently is a random spawn in any dungeons
and got absolutely pasted.

Poe is a mess of visuals not fixed for a decade.
poe2 be more of that and a crafting simulator while devs state they slow down poe2, its likely not happening.

diablo4 looks great, plays great and your able to see things happening, the arpg way.
These games should be more tactical to ensure a risk/reward decision.

I like hardcore but 2 days of beta, and dying 4 times aint good haha. Won't even touch the sides.

I am still Rogue, I will try barb next :)

I want to team up with some people, any one fancy it? getting a bit slow doing it solo @Teaf @Tombstone more fun with group.
