** Diablo 4 Thread **

Slightly concerned by system requirements.
6700k, 1080 strix, 1440p 144hz

Nah, you'll be fine if their recommend settings are realistic - not for ultra or anything, but easily playable. The 1080 was about 70% better then 970, so I'd imagine medium/high at 1440p/60-90 FPS.

Path of Exile used to have very clunky gameplay but it's pretty pacey these days and very responsive.

If Diablo 3 did anything better than Path of Exile though, it was allowing rifts from level 1 which gave players two options to level (rifts or the campaign). While the Path of Exile campaign can be speed ran in a few hours (usually takes me about 5), if they allowed mapping from level 1 they'd draw in more players who hate the campaign or/and can't be bothered to level up through it again. Personally, I don't mind it, and I love the race at league start - but it's a complaint I see quite often. I'm hoping Diablo 4 might allow multiple options to level up when seasons come around.

The game will be good for sure, even Diablo 3 was a good game, but whether it has staying power is another thing. If they don't get itemisation correct from day 1 and have a decent repeatable and fun end-game early on then they are going to see a huge drop off in players very quickly who will just go back to games like Path of Exile, because that has arguably the best itemisation of any ARPG to date, and has a really good end-game.

Likewise, got D4 preordered, tbf preordered it the moment it was announced. I basically operate on a £ per hour basis for game value and it was a very safe bet that even at £60 , I would get 60 hours out of D4 so it was clear it would hit the £ per hour requirement

Aye, same; pre-ordered it immediately as I know I'll very likely get thousands of hours of game play out of it so the base price is absolutely inconsequential to how much fun I'll likely get out of it.

The £ per hour basis is also why I don't really mind the paid battle pass as long as the price is reasonable, since as long as the money funds further development I'll still be getting value for money consistently. Same deal for Path of Exile where I usually pick up a season pack once every other league to support further development. I still see people moaning about battle passes for D4 on places like reddit where they expect completely free content updates for the next decade.

Tried it a few times but it never really felt comfortable for me, I just use force stand. Much prefer Path of Exile's system where you can either set LMB to an instant cast skill or simply to move, as well as being able to set individual skills to attack without moving.

For any Virgin customer, you can get o2 priority as VM/O2 partnered up.

It's highly likely keys won't be platform specific and you'll just be able to use any key and pick your platform (see screenshot from the code redemption website).

Just in case anyone can't see the "Diablo IV - Beta" under the "game version" in Battle.net, just restart the Battle.net client.

Can't play tomorrow unfortunately :( Hopefully there's no issues with logging on tomorrow for everyone, but it's Blizzard so I'll not hold my breath

Wtf this video looks different to all the other ones, it looks like Diablo 3 and colourful.. very concerning. Hopefully it's just console and PC looks good.
Probably just that area, it has an orange wash to it like a lot of D3 did. The coop console UI is adding a lot of colour also, and the screen seems overly washed out with brightness/contrast. I'm not concerned though, there's been a lot of people in beta who have nothing but good things to say and we've seen plenty of other gameplay that looks far more gritty.

Wouldn't be too surprised if there was a queue, they might be wanting to stress test the logins servers before launch

Think Kyo might mean closed beta too :)

But I've not played closed unfortunately, only ever had one beta invite from Blizzard and that was for Heroes of the Storm :(

If anyone wants to try out he world boss, they announced the times it'll spawn as:

"March 18 at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 10 p.m. and midnight PDT"

Assuming it spawns worldwide at the same times, that'll be the following for UK people:

Saturday: 5 PM and 7 PM
Sunday: 5 AM

If I remember right from the Q&A, there'll be a global message in-game 5 or 10 minutes before the spawn.

I meant the servers and actually getting into the game today :D But yeah I'm 21:9

Ahh, gotcha :)

My expectations are this evening are servers up at 4 PM, login server explodes at 4:02 PM, Blizzard posts on Twitter at 4:05 PM about "technical issues some players are having getting into the game and our engineers are working to fix it", game finally starts working around 8 PM :p

Couldn't play last night, time to log in now! Sounds like there were some login issues last night, but it seems like quite a few were playing at least which is good to see!

How are people finding it? Having fun?

Got a sorc to 25, tried multiple different builds, combat is impactful and fun but its not smooth, constant out of mana issues, I only assume this is more an issue with levels and lack of skill points.

Build wise frost/fire feel clunky to me, lightning specially chain lightning is really good but again 3 casts and your out of mana.

Overall though, I'd say D4 looks great, and the cinematics and story are leaps and bounds above Last Epoch and PoE, but gameplay wise, both LE and PoE have D4 dead to rights.

Aye, I'd imagine (and hope) that mana issues are just due to the low level restriction, hopefully that sorts itself out by max level :)
