** Diablo 4 Thread **

I've been playing an hour so far and everything seems great although I have had rubber banding in the last few minutes hopefully I'm not about to get kicked out. Whoever said you can't skip cutscenes you can you have to hold escape I don't know how you do it on console

I guess in theory it should be worse today than it will be at launch because at launch you will only have people who have actually bought the game logging in whereas this weekend you have everyone, regardless of whether they have bought it trying to log in, you've probably even got people trying to log in at the moment who have absolutely no intention of buying the game, trying to log in because its free. Yeah I am one of them. Not bought the game but thought I try it out since it is free and I have never played a Diablo game before. Unfortunately only have this evening, and maybe a couple hours tomorrow, that I can play but by looks of it, wont be happening unless que shortens sharply.

Funny thing though is a streamer I'm watching (CohhCarnage) was logged into the game before me and still playing without any interuptions. Although he from the US so maybe different server and the EU servers are just smashed ?

Yeah that was me, its glitched, I had this happen last weekend too, sometimes I was able to skip then next session on a character I couldnt skip anything
 
Necromancer is by far the most OP class in D4 thus far. Already lvl 15 and I haven't even got any legendary items or decent gear yet. Minions are very strong, and corpse explosion ... well, obliterates everything. It's clear Blizzard haven't done much balancing, or just don't understand their own game.

Makes sense, its 12.30 in the afternoon where Cohh is, so middle of a working day for them
 
Got back in for 10 mins, then got an error:

Have been playing since the start and had a 40min queue where I was tabbed out doing other things. The rubber banding between zones is worse so far vs last weekend but that's to be expected. Necro op at low levels although losing a skill slot for summon skellies might be annoying at high levels.

You are in the first area of a game that is meant to be played over multiple increasing difficulties before you even start endgame. The game you are playing now isnt the game as its fully intended therefore I expect the damage you are doing now wont scale as well as you are assuming.
 
133 minute queue. No real surprises there then for a Blizzard game, not that I'm particularly bothered. I shall just leave it minimised in the background and check later :)
 
Played for a few hours and it seems to run better than last weekend for me apart from bouts of rubber banding, got to go out for a bit now so i expect to never get back in.

I guess one thing to bear in mind is that this is also an older build of the game (as confirmed this week during an interview) so what we see of the classes at this stage may well not be how the classes actually are currently. Not that it means that they arent exactly the same as they are, they might be, my point is we dont know so I'm willing to wait for release and see. Though the necro will still be OP to some degree no doubt, its always the way with pet classes in arpg, theres a reason why goldfarmers always tend to select a pet class.
 
On a side note, I just teleported back to Stalingrad or whatever its called and appear to be stuck on the loading screen, so I'm guessing the zone is either down or all clogged up :D

Not a problem, to be expected. I got my sorceror to level 12 though, much easier than the Barbarian but as the Barbarian can have more legendaries I expect that to level out later on. Will play some of my Anno1800 while I wait for the queues to reduce a bit :)

Aye doing the same - queued enough for tonight :p Although Sunday for me as I'm out all day tomorrow. Looking forward to trying out Necromancer and Druid more though.
