there's an event 8th dec (iirc) when I expect the above to be announced, and preorders to open.

Closed beta stopped on 18th Nov, so i expect next we will see is the open beta, doubt we will see another closed cycle as it was purely endgame focused

Diablo IV is rumored to release on June 5 next year!

June 5th it seems. Apparently the date was data-mined from the Microsoft/Xbox store.

Either way, we will get confirmation tomorrow at The Game Awards.

The Diablo 4 time slot at The Game Awards today starts at 12pm (noon) PST - that's 8pm UK.

Edit: Pretty much every game news website about The Game Awards 2022 states different times, and even different dates.
