Did Corsair just silently put out the best B Die bin on the market? 4000 16-16-16-36 XMP at 1.40v!

Think this would run ok with 4 sticks/32gb? Struggling to find decent memory in 2 x 16gb

Crucial Ballistix Max is where all the good 2x16 Gb chips went.

I rarely see any Samsung B die 16 Gb modules.

It looks like they try to stick the best chips on 8 Gb sticks so they can overcharge for them, and leave plain 3600 chips on 26 Gb sticks now.

If you do get Micron E die chips on a 3600 kit, thats because they were already binned and couldn't reach 4000.

Also 8 Gb sticks are often single ranked, which performs worse in most gaming situations unless you use 4 sticks. 2x16 dual rank are better than 4x8 Gb single rank as the latter won't OC as well.

I'd just go with any 3600 CL16 right now and apply a bit more voltage to reduce cas to 14, or overclock 3800 CL16. All the better stuff is highly binned and too expensive, especially with DDR5 coming soon.

Same. I would say it was due to brexit making importing harder for companies but even european stores for the memory is reallly bad. The thing is unless I have missed something you can't even buy memory from overlcockers uk sister site caseking as UK delivery is not an option. If I want high tier dual rank memory say 3600 C14 I have been forced to order from the states (had a UK order in since November no stock). Yesterday I got in an order for TeamGroup 2x16GB ARGB White 3600C14 for £300 (delivery hopefully May). Kind of expensive I know but would have been £235 without import fees which is more than fair. Still not too bad for possibly the best dual rank ddr4 kit that will be made and RGB!

There are no 8 gigabit DRR4 modules.
And it's probably five years when there were dual rank 8 GB DDR4 DIMMs.
8 Gb DDR4 chips became standard long ago...
And now only Samsung B-die maxing at that capacity is guaranteed to give dual rank in 16 GB DIMMs with most DDR4 chips reaching 16 Gb capacity.

Oh happy days. I got myself some of this after getting fed up with the Viper Steel stuff i bought originally last year that I couldn't get to boot over 3200mhz even though they were 3600mhz sticks. Put these in today, instantly booted straight in at 4000mhz with a 2000mhz fclk. What a difference some quality ram makes :D

I picked one of this kits today, and its great so far. My 3600Mhz C16 kit was never able to boot at 4000Mhz no matter what I tried, this one booted at 4000Mhz XMP and 2000Mhz FCLK without a problem.

PS: 102% quality showing on DRAM Calculator

Well only changed the tRC since it was a bit high by default and left everything else on stock XMP. Seems to be working flawlessly. Ran a quick test to make sure everything was fine and 0 errors. I will try and play around with it when I have time.

I got 2 pairs of those, so 32gb for my 5600x running on a msi unify x570.
They run fine with fclk 2000 (which I didnt expect with 4 Sticks) and xmp and I heavily tuned the secondary timings. My unify set terrible secondary timings! Currently on my phone so no screenshot available right now.
I also tried getting them to run at CL 14 but no luck even at 3800. However I didnt try to increase the voltage that much since my mainboard already sets it a little bit higher. Went to 1.468 I think.

To be honest I havent tried getting them tighter since they have been running 100% stable for days, even with hrs of gaming. Did a quick Latency benchmark on Aida and got 54.0ns so its actually really good for a stock kit, the lowest on my previous BDie kit was 53.3ns. I will try tomorrow since I have off.

Just ordered these to go with my 2600.
If you mean Ryzen 2600, you unfortunately wasted money.
Already 3600MHz would be good achievement for very mediocre memory controller of Zen+ CPUs.
And no matter how tightly tweaked memory, it won't make that twice succeeded architecture perform like modern Ryzen.

already run my the ram I have at 3600MHz but want lower latency and voltage.

Will be getting a newer CPU later this year anyway.

Hey guys. I totally forgot I wanted to post the quick&dirty timings I achieved. I didn't try extensively so there might be room for improvement still.

Does this kit come in 2x16Gb?

£170 for 16GB pushes 32GB higher than other b die kits that are pushing close to 4000/c16, e.g. 8 pack 2x16gb kit which I have running at 3800 Cl14.

Any possibility of it running 4000 CL14?
I imagine 2 kits of 2x8gb are harder to run 4000 C16, yet alone 4000 C14 / C15

I was not able to hit cl14 (Not even with 2 sticks) and 15 is not that optimal with AMD.
I chose these because they are the only low profile dies I could find that are also bdies and 4000 cl16. I have no room for giant heat spreaders.
