Did Corsair just silently put out the best B Die bin on the market? 4000 16-16-16-36 XMP at 1.40v!

I've just bought some of this exact RAM (4x 8GB) on eBay on a bit of an impulse buy, hoping it'll be low enough to let me install my CPU AIO rad into the top of my case as my previous RAM was too tall and fouled on the rad.

Also hopefully it'll actually run with XMP on because my previous RAM (Corsair Dominator Platinum) won't on my z590 board with 11900k for some reason. I guess I'll find out in a day or two when it arrives. Fingers crossed on both accounts.

I'm not all too clued up on RAM but the seller reckons he had it running stable at CL13-14-14-32 if he dropped them down to 3600MHz with x570 and R3900XT which is apparently pretty good?

How did it go? Interested in this kit

Very well I think, plugged it straight in and Enabled XMP 2 and for the most part everything seemed fine, booted to Windows OK at 4000Mhz and seemed to game ok but after about a total of about 6hrs gaming (not constant) I had both Battlefield V & Project Cars 2 crash to desktop without any warning which is something they doesn't usually do so I went back into BIOS end enabled XMP 1 (still 4000Mhz) instead and so far all has been well with no crashes. I'm hitting Project Cars 2 pretty hard today (for science obviously) as I'm chasing a World Record leaderboard time and it's been very stable so far.

I haven't changed any BIOS settings relating to RAM at all other than the XMP settings.

I'll post back here if I have any more issues.

I know this is for the Corsair release but I'm looking at G.Skill because they do this bin in DR (16GB).

Anyone want to guess what is a better bin between these?

DDR4-3600MHz CL14-14-14-34 1.45V
32GB (2x16GB)

DDR4-4000MHz CL16-16-16-36 1.40V
32GB (2x16GB)

Goal would be 3800 CL14 if it's possible. I can run IF 1900. IF 2000 boots but I get WHEA errors. Might be stable one day with my 5950x.

All I've done so far. I'm still new to timings etc so slowly improving.

Any suggestions on what next? Can't get 1T at 3800 cl14 - Or atleast I'm struggling to

Don't worry about 1T just now, more important to get stable timings first with GDM off. But is it issues with POST or issues with stability with 1T?

Timings are pretty tight, could try trrdl at 4. trtp at 6.

I'd recommend 25 cycles of TestMem5 as well before running y-cruncher (links here https://github.com/integralfx/MemTestHelper/blob/oc-guide/DDR4 OC Guide.md)

I've have had memory instability come up nearly 2 hours in on like cycle 21 out of 25 of 1usmusv3.

If you were really unstable you'd likely error easily within 15 cycles, but before saving as final I'd go a bit longer.

Passed testmem for 25 cycles and passed an hour of y cruncher.

Ive tried TRDL at 4 and it was unstable. If I change trtp would I need to change any other settings along with it?

1T wouldn't boot when changing it. Would different drive strengths help?

No, trtp to 6 would be fine on your current timings.

For 1T try ClkDrvStr to 40/60. If it still doesn't boot try AddrCmdSetup 56.

At 1.5v your tRFC can likely drop to 250~280.

I got 1t booting but was erroring on 4,5, 9 and 13

It's very difficult to get it stable. I couldn't manage it on my set that runs at 3800CL16. Had to resort to 1T/GDM Enabled.

Try putting your SCLs back to 4 just now from 2 and see if it helps at all. Try 60/20/24/24 on DrvStr with ProcODT on 36.9. That might boot without needing 56 on Setup if you're using that.

The rabbit hole for 1T/GDM off is vast and can take ages to try and get stable. The right hand side of ZenTimings really comes into play.

Thank you for your help! It keeps giving me error 6 with these settings now, I'm just going to settle with gdm on 1T for now and could come back to it later.

GDM off 1T is a rabbit hole lol. Difficult to get stable when your memory is on the edge and finding the right combination of resistances can be a challenge too. Many people just stick with GDM off 2T or even GDM on 1T. You can run benchmarks in AIDA64 to see what performs better.

I've bought F4-3600C14D-32GVKA which is 3600 14-14-14-34 at 1.45v. 4000 at 16-16-16-36 at 1.4v seems like a great bin but I'm taking a gamble on the 3600C14 set hoping it can do 3800C14 with ease and a slight voltage bump. 4000 1:1 is out of the equation for me just now anyway as I get WHEA errors above 1900.

I was going to grab that kit but it's $100 more than these corsair dimms.

Good luck hope it goes well!

I had to pay £28 more. Was advised there isn't much in it and some still prefer to go with a lower binned voltage (1.4v 4000 vs 1.45v 3600). I think outside of XMP settings there is always going to be a bit of the luck of the draw. Both these bins are clearly at the top of b-die binning, but 3800, flat 14s and trying for GDM off and 1T is always going to make you work for it.

Even the 3800C14 bin they sell is DDR4-3800MHz CL14-16-16-36 1.50V and it costs more than our memory! I guess if you want to have another crack at 3800C14 with GDM off and 1T you could give those primaries a go, 14-16-16-36.

Hi, I have new 4x8GB sticks and need to setup it for Factorio, some advices I've get before but now it's messy. So.. My goal is achieve lowest tRFC as possible with lowest possible CL and highest frequency. My last configuration is CL15-15-15-15 @ 3800 / tRFC = 485 but it can be lower that DRAM for Ryzen (i have 5800X) but I have a problem with stability (pc reboot loop until bios reset)
