Die Hard 4

I liked it, true, i didnt think it "felt" like a Die Hard film either, but all in all, best action film i've seen in a while.

I didnt like the "impossible" bits either, Die Hard's are supposed to be relatively realistic...

No one seems to have mentioned the Terminator Model falling on the DELETE key on Farrell's keyboard, conveniently at the right time to blow up the bad guys... i mean seriously....

Also, Fire Hydrant, WTF?!!?

Was better than the 2nd one though, no doubt. :)

This is what confuses me. The third wasn't much like a Die Hard movie either, if you want to say that.

As for the "impossible" bit. Are we forgetting about managing to rob the Federal Reserve in Die Hard 3, by using a subway train to blow a hole in the vaults? Or possibly even the idea of using two harmless compounds as a bomb? What about driving through central park?

So we now have 2 movies that follow the old Die Hard format and two that follow a diffrent, but still equally as good and equally as "Die Hard" formats.

I agree each successive film has got worse in terms of realism, but i was talking about silly things like, them being saved by freak occurrences, such as the fire hydrant, the terminator model activating the bomb etc etc

I apologise, i should have been more concise. :)

I thought it was brilliant :)

We also got to watch the longer trailer of Transformers and also The Simpsons (spider pig ROFL!) and Rush Hour 3.

Chinese woman kicked some **** but I didn't like her :/

Who is Kevin Smith and where was his cameo btw?

BB x

Kevin Smith is the director of films such as Clerks, Clerks 2, Jay and Silent Bob, Mallrats etc. etc. He has quite a vast cult following, I personally love him!
His cameo was as the War1ock, I thought he did great too.

Anyway, on to the film, I went to see it last night and I'm glad I saw it at the cinema rather than on my PC/TV, it was about as good as an action film gets for me, really enjoyed it and so did my girlfriend even though she wasn't enthused about me dragging her along at all. Some good effects and funny lines, although in parts the story was washed out and Ferrell got pretty annoying in parts, but I didn't go for a good story line and amazing acting :].

Overall, all things considered, I'd give it an 8/10.

Oh yeah, i forgot to ask, but does anyone know the band that are playing on the TV when Bruce Willis picks up Farrell from his flat before they get shot at?

It's some metal band fronted by a woman, was just curious who it could be?

Saw this the other night with a few mates and we all really enjoyed it. Liked some of the little reminders of the old films, like where he meets the FBI agent whose escorting them. :D

Agent Johnson? :D made me laugh

I thought it was pretty good, although not really a Die Hard Film like 1+2 it was just an all out action film. switch off your brain and enjoy the stunts and multiple swearing.

That's what I really liked about the first one, the whole film was proper action all the time, but this one got a fine balance between action and storyline, which was nice to see in a film like this.
