I don't understand the "I'm downloading this because they've upset me" vibe...
Why get it at all? If it's not got what you want then don't download it and don't buy it.
If you still want to play the singleplayer then either buy it for full retail or just wait until the price drops out and buy it then.

Far too many tantrums going on. It sucks but... You don't have to pirate the game, you'd be making a better point by not buying/playing it.

well they put the price up considerably compared to most pc games.

and the latest cod SP's have been notoriously short.

You'll be waiting a long time for it to come down to the £10 the
sp alone is worth.

I was going to download it myself but will no longer be doing so and neither should any real fan.

Best way to hurt them is to cancel your preorders and if you are going to still buy the game for SP, wait at least a week after release so their first week numbers are bad. If you download it, you only give them fuel to put into their 'blame it on piracy' fire.

I guess your right Trip, but they need to learn that removing dedicated servers and gimping the game will encourage pirating, not limit it.

Oh God I was worried we wouldn't get the played-out Hitler meme for this.

Also people who seriously think a missing feature from a single game that only a subset of the PC gaming community will miss would affect a publishers share price are pretty damn retarded.

Hmmm nevermind*

Nooo they've taken back their word and not done a co-op mode! http://content.usatoday.com/communi...-modern-warfare-2s-campaign-skips-the-co-op/1

Surely if their excuse was that co-op removes the "cinematic" feeling of the game then people who wanted that feeling would just play single player anyway?! Their excuse makes no sense!

Play co-op if you want two people or single player if you wanted the cinematic experience. There was no need to remove co-op!

I feel nowadays that PC games are just console ports. Developers concentrate on the console games and just port to PC to see how much money they'll make so aren't doing PC specific features :(

PC gaming was good whilst it lasted though :)

Sorry if it's already been posted

You may want to remove that video and possibly just provide a link with a warning, I think it contains every sweary in the ban book.

Can't believe a company would actively cripple one of their best game features. Why couldn't they just leave it as is, don't fix what isn't broken.

agreed, just re-checked the petition. another 3.5k people have signed in the last 3 hours. £130k lost.

they truely have crippled this game!

Cant help but feel this either, and I'm a big PC fanboy, I cant think of 1 game in the last 6 months that hasnt been a console port and completely spoilt because of it. The only hope I have is Mafia 2 and the Aliens games due to come out, if they fail then I think I may pack in PC gaming, its just not what it used to be.

Amen to that

I never even knew MW2 ever planned to have CO-OP in the main story line, so if they have removed that i couldnt care less. If they removed CO-OP from the single missions though, then I would be annoyed. Thankfully that havn't.

Well said the mentality of some people is silly. It is not good enough to buy yet it is to pirate:confused::mad:

This is only a guess as I buy my games but surely its obvious why people think this - if a game isn't that good, if they pirate it it costs them only time, not money. Seems fairly obvious to me

COD: MW got so popular because of MP with dedicate servers not sp. We want value for money, what's the point buying a game for £30-£40 that only last 10-15 hours playing time. Have you try OFP2 online? is un-playable, remember the 56k dial-up era? that's what it felt like. I was really looking forward of buying this game for mp not sp.
