It's almost like a sick joke - only it's not funny - in the slightest. Pre-order cancelled and petition signed.
An awesome feature for the next version of vBulletin would be a drop down menu or something that lists all the links that have been posted in a thread already, so it's ultra easy to check that you're not posting a youtube video for about the eleventh time in 2 days.
That would be sweet, i hate navigating a 100 page thread to find one link too.

I'd be willing to bet though that the normal and casual gamer are quite happy with a lot of features which started off as nothing more than mods in previous cod games before the devs copied them.
Give PC gamers mods/dedi servers and you get this

Is this what is going to be lost by not giving PC gamers more control?

The piracy on COD4 was apparently well over 60%according to IW stats so no wonder they are sticking to their guns on this one.
Have they said that? If the stats were that bad then surely they would just come out in public and say look, 60% of pc gamers stole from us so we have to stop this.
If piracy was that high then I'm sure a lot of people would be more understanding of their position.
It was in one of the replies to the boycott from their PR staff member. On the IW forum one of the members proved it was something like 1% so lots thinking this is all just in aid of killing PC development and publishing for consoles only since they'll buy expensive DLC packs etc.
