theyll just wait it out if it is going very slow after say a mpnth theyll just bang a patch out and say there you go we were working on it all the time lolz

the actual code for the server dedi side will already be in the game as it is basically mw anyway.
 
Lack of dedicated servers is without a doubt a backwards step, but I'm going to wait and see what reports are like when the game is released when it comes to the MP aspect. Surely IW must have known the reaction they were going to receive from the PC community when they made the decision to drop dedicated servers so I guess they really must believe in IW.net, either that or they really do just want to alienate PC gamers.

People shouldn't pirate the game though, that sends out the totally wrong message to developers and could push even more away from the PC as a platform.

Your post is useless without facts and sources. I can't find any such reply from IW staff and I don't know how a forum member could 'prove' it was near 1%.

tbh if that true then IW shoulda came down hard on cracked servers and stopped people from using the downloaded copies, nearly everyone i know has bought there copy and play on ranked servers etc etc .
so there point is fail tbh , and the amount of money they made on COD4 they should have invested in a very decent alternative to PB and combat the problem that way , but in typical american style .......they blew it up on us ..
 
i was going to pre-order till i seen all this D: I just made a gaming rig with a new 5770 to play latest games + dx11 game. Was hopeing to play MW 2 max settings on my new 1080p monitor but now thats a let down. Gunna spend my money on fallout 3 addons, L4D2. Ill probly pirate the game later to check it out and if its good and the price is right ill probly buy it. Dont like pirating games
 
also i HATE matchmaking system...i like to make new friends in games, then organise matchs with them and have a good fun battle.
 
I haven't even completed Modern Warfare single player yet, and it seems MW2 only has single player to offer me so I definately won't be buying.

Not that I don't enjoy Modern Warfare SP, it's just I can't seem to stick to one game enough to complete it, always get half way through then just go on to the next game... or as was the case with MW1, sign up to WoW again :@

I can't say I'm surprised, but it's definitely upsetting. There's been many a horse-flogging thread where pirates try and justify their activities.

Saying that, after years of paying for every single game I play, I'm in a quandary over MW2 - there's no way in hell I'm paying £35 for a short SP game with gimped MP, but I'd still like to play the SP campaign.

I'll have to wait until it's on sale in about ten billion years.
