Pirating goes against the boycott, just gives them fuel for the fire they created. Lost sales will easily determine it, why pirate it?
Spot on, if the game is really that bad why do people even want to play it? Way i see it is people are just using this as a way to justify breaking the law. As i've said before, if you want to pirate it, fine, go for it, just don't come out with these simpering claims of deserving the game for free because they didn't give you the holy dedicated server.

I'm still buying it. SP will be great and co-op looks fun. Not sure if I'll get into the MP like I did with MW1.

Still got mine pre-ordered, even bought COD 4 again just incase the MP is a little laggy for the 1st couple of weeks, £15 I had to pay for it, still keeping top price I see for a game thats so old. I just need COD MP in my life again.

I will definitely get it at some point, but i am debating whether to get it on the 360 now?
Was definitely going to get it on the PC, but now i am unsure. I am pretty much the only one with a good enough PC to play it between me and my mates that will get it, so they will be getting it on the 360.
Arrrgh, i can't decide. Cheaper on PC, but can't play my mates online. More expensive on the 360 but can play my mates on matchmaking, laggy servers? Arrrgh, too much pressure

My experience on the consoles of cod4 was not great. You enter a lobby with random people you play one game and then you're kicked back to lobby thus interrupting your game.
For example you only play 3 rounds of search and destroy before you're kicked back to the lobby rather than say playing to 10-13 rounds which most servers do. You just don't get a long enough game.

Indeed, joining a dedicated server is mindblowingly hard.

People arent saying that the game is bad. People are complaining about the lack of a better platform for online play. The sinlge player side of MW was fantastic but if you wanted to enjoy the game further online you had to purchase the game. If the online play isnt as good then people will simply pirate it for the SP mode, which should be good.
Personally I dont think the SP will be as good and now that its been declared that its only p2p, i have gone from definate purchase on release date to probably not bothering with it at all. Im not boycotting it as such, Im just not as interested in it as I was six months ago and my hard earned money will go towards a more rewarding game. Its a shame as I was looking forward to it but Im not sure its going to be the game we all hoped.
