DiRT Rally Hits Steam Early Access

Bought this again but waiting til my G29 arrives tomorrow before playing :D

Anything I should do to get it G29-friendly or is it ready to go out the box with default settings?
 
I've just upgraded from a DFGT to a G920 (going cheap!) and found the force feedback is way less severe now with the default settings. Anyone who's done a similar upgrade found the same thing?

Also the brake pedal only goes to 40% on the calibration settings which seems odd? Other 2 pedals go to 100%.

should be pretty decent on default. ingame its preference. there will be configs though on steam. maybe try a g27 set up as will be similar.

frankmcg make sure you install the g920 software. also dont put wheel in until it tells you to.

did a new PB with my pug 205 on fferm wynt last night :cool:



was laughing because a guy i watch on twitch was playing/streaming with the pug after a hr he was dripping with sweat. :p

they should make prisoners play straight for 10 hrs with pug they wouldnt commit a crime again :p

they at the gadget show giving away stuff and you can try it out there.also there is the event with the cars driving around london.

patch is april 5th for us pc players. 7 new cars and finally i get my renault 5 turbo :cool:
 
Can ya gimme some tips on handbrake and starting out? Im pretty bad right now lol.

Also DG what seat do you use.

Seems like lots of rev limiter going on, is this how you have to play it?
 
its more a case of keeping the group b cars on the road :D


sometimes over bad jumps and coming to bends just holding it a bit can help. also all the cars behave different so scooby i would short shift.

for eg that car on that track above short gears are being used. sometimes the cars behave better with short than long and vice versa.pug has very twitchy back end.

there is no one way to play. just what suits your style.im all in or die :p car makes it or it blows up.:D



Hedge, handbrake what i normally do is on bad hairpin i might blip brake once,twice then just flick handbrake. depends how i enter the corner. big tip for handbraking is ingame see the red flags ? they are more or less handbrake points.

if i come in too fast wrong might just flick car naturally scandinavian flick :p

group b cars like the pug you can just scandi flick them with practice quite easy. it just takes practice.

i wouldnt be too hard on yourself for first say 100 hrs as you will basically just be learning the cars/tracks. then you start to progress find your fav cars.

my seat ? just a normal pc chair .

What even with really pressing down hard ? obviously i think you have to put quite a lot of pressure to get it to 100% not sure why your getting only 40%, i did hear of a problem like this happening on consoles also, and they ended up taking the rubber thing out on brake pedal or summit like that.
 
DG that is some awesome racing, i just wanted to say how good i thought it is and keep it up, ive subbed to your utube account.

Crazy crap, but how do you hand brake what button? it cant be on the wheel!
