DiRT Rally Hits Steam Early Access

Trying to find a good deal on a T300 or T500 on the bay. Missed out on a cracking T500 deal for £139 as I got distracted at work (:p) and missed the last minute of the auction. Would have gone for £150!

Anyone know of someone selling one? Ideally I want thrustmaster, not logitech.

This game is really hard with a controller, it needs a wheel. I used to own a G25 a while back.

Perhaps you have a couple of legit times, without giving anything away... it is extremely obvious when someone is cheating from the dev side. Cheaters beware you will be banned permanently from racenet.

I'm not banned.

I've never cheated.

Fairly sure all the Group B 4WD cars got reworked and their performance was altered and that's why the times have gone.
 
no some of the times were cheats.basically they know who makes what all are followed.they can check anytime you do instantly know if you are cheating.they even give people a achievement saying we told you not to cheat :p

so when a big sweep comes they are banned.many times are checked and scrutinized. so basically dont try and use them you will be banned.:)

what you must remember is they have had or got proper rally drivers playing testing this.


you wont know if you banned either till to late.any suspect times are submitted daily.


they confirmed patch for in the morning tommorrow so not long now.

I'm not disputing any of that, I'm just making the point clear that I have never cheated. I will happily sit round anyones house on any of their setups and beat my own time I just set.
 
Yep and I'm saying devs have a foolproof way of detecting who's cheating, you can't avoid it. If you haven't cheated you have nothing to worry about. Cheaters ruin the community, it's a shame some people can be so selfish.
 
I love this game. Playing with a steering wheel is such epic fun. Cant believe its taken me so long.

However its bad because I wanna spend lots of money on a fancy setup now.

Add in trying to beat friends times and the game just opens up. Awesome.
 
I uninstalled this because I got fed up with the controller and how bad I was, and cba setting up the wheel each time.

Now I should have just left it in my library.. 17GB patch :o I need to switch to Virgin fibre quicker lol
 
just done first run in Renault Alpine A110 oh my its such a beautiful car to drive.

world record with default 1st run so much faster than the other cars in class. little 60s rocket. uploading video now.
 
Hi. I haven't played a demanding game for a couple of years (just civ!) but really fancy this and I have an old wheel. I think I may need to upgrade my system (gfx)?

I have:
Intel Core i7 860 2.80Ghz (Nehalem) (Socket LGA1156)
XFX ATI Radeon HD 5850 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Geil Ultra Series 4GB (2x2GB) PC3-17000 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit
Logitech G25 Racing Wheel

Should I upgrade the gfx? If so whats best value preferably under £200 but would go higher if needed.

Everything else ok incl wheel?
