Discussion of currently unaired TV episodes.

I don't get people who complain about the rules on a free to use forum, no-one is forced to post here and there are plenty of other forums on the internet where you can freely discuss piracy.

I agree 100% with the rule.

1) I like to discuss current shows, and like to know when I go in a thread that I am not gonna get spoilered.

2) If you have watched it early you either live in another country, or have got it through illegal means - that much is fact. Its like the games forum where people who have pirated games play them early and want to discuss - its not right.

3) there are other places to discuss these things as has been pointed out.

I am happy as it is... If anything I would like to see harsher punishments for those that break this rule. I would like to discuss Stargate, and it does annoy me that some people keep getting that thread closed!

Fair point... but they say the rules is about piracy etc.....

So why is there a 502 page thread "Guess the film from the stills" which contains hundreds of copyright breaking photo's ?

Surely that is also against the rules but it seems to be ok to break them on that occasion...

I don't see why it's a problem not being able to discuss unaired things here. I'm quite happy to watch things in advance of the air date here but I can wait to talk about them until they air here.

What about talking about something in anticipation before even the american release date, such as season 6 of Lost. Or about a movie or game that probably will never be released over here and as such would have to be imported?

If you're just theorising about what might happen then I doubt there would be any problem, you aren't actually then 'spoiling' it for anyone else.

If it is something that would never be imported then it should probably also be fine but it requires a bit of common sense to be used, most of the problems stem from shows or games that will quite obviously be here at some point in the future.

You'll now get replies along the line of "Well post elsewhere then" which is always really helpful and thoroughly nice

I'd hope not, however if people find the forum restrictive then they've got free choice to post elsewhere which it appears is what XeNoN89 does, I don't really see a problem here.

It's a rule i dont agree with but it was put in place by the owner of the forum and therefore something you have to respect, if you dont agree with it then you are free to post about such stuff on the bazillion other forums that exist on t'internet. I live in the states so it annoys me i cant talk about stuff ive seen but on the flip side i dont want to spoil it for uk'ers who are waiting for shows to air, it's only common courtesy.

Same here, i find it an annoying rule but I'll respect it as other than that its a great forum.

One way to get over the spoiling it for people who wait for it to be on TV would be to have a sub forum for unaired episodes, like the motor sport sub forum for motors.

I just wish they would bring out shows at the same time around the world, rather than having to wait 6 months. It makes people have to pirate shows as otherwise they would see spoilers all over the internet. I even saw a spoiler for Prison Break in a spray on CSS :D.

This is what I want, release times that are within a day or so of each other worldwide, and a good legal (monthly subscription) download service
