Single 5870 should fit in mine (NZXT Lexa Blackline), as i know the old 8800 GTX does, and the 5870's supposedly same length, and ive got a couple of inches between the end of my board and the HD cage.

Cards are launched on Wednesday this week *confirmed*

OCUK have the largest stock of Sapphire 5870's and a single card is reaching on stock over 25k in 3dmark06. What system it's benched with i don't know sorry.

also the approx end user price should be roughly £280 inclusive

Apparently it is outperforming gtx295 quite happily, with the added bonus that it is a DX11 part....

im running gta4 which is the most gfx intensive program i have, at 1680x1050 on maxed detail and forced AA AF in nvidia panel etc, with no slowdowns, must be around 80fps constantly.

so i dont NEED a 5870.

so i might wait for a 5870x2 ? Im kicking myself for not buying a gigabyte x48 now!
