Do we have a Black Friday 2018 Deals thread

£36 (with £40 upfront) on a 24month contract, 100G data for a iPhone XR?

That's like free data for 2 years. Where do I sign up?

mobiles.co.uk or mobilesphonedirect.co.uk

don't forget the £42 quidco

64gb £9.99 upfront

The 256gb model with £40 upfront looks to have ended on MPD (in fact, it looks like they have pulled all the voda black friday deals). Heard that 4,000 had ordered on Friday and they were struggling to meet demand.

me and my missus had vodafone contracts that were up and both went for the p20 pro with 100gb

the store staff found it so funny my missus was moving from a 1gb cotract to a 100gb contract

alo saved about 12% on a 6 nights in manhatten next year..I didnt eeven realise hotels had sales!

Thanks....now the steps, do I still need to call my existing network for the MAC code?

Even the XS is not bad value...just a high up front cost.

I don't know for sure, its been a long time since I wasn't sim only. But I would imagine so. I know EE won't unlock a device until 6 months or a year has passed.

Once the contract is up I would think its fair game.

Not sure if different networks will work differently but my last 2 phones were from CPW and mobiles.co.uk on EE and they were bog standard unbranded unlocked phones.

Always, or just this post? :p

I missed out on one deal I should have gone for. I got greedy. It might have been posted on here, the Panasonic Lumix DC-GX800 that was reduced on Curry's from £299 to £219. I added it to my John Lewis watch list, to see if they would match it (I get JL discount) which they did, but it was sold out by the time I could use my discount again. Then today the price has gone back to £299 everywhere. :( Oh well. I did get the 4K webcam I missed on Amazon Prime day at almost half price.

Am not interested in the stupid HUE light bulbs that change different colours..

I have a Philips Connected Luminaires Fair Hue 39 W Ceiling Lamp in my bedroom which is great due to you can control the light it outputs from a warm light 2200k to a bright cool light 3000k and can also dim/brighten it by my TV remote

Isn't it the same technology in both things? You can still set Hue coloured bulbs to 'white' and change the warmth, you don't have to use the colours.

It is Hue. It is the same tech as my Hue Go lights, infact no different apart from being a lot more in cost and a ceiling friendly design. Hue Go's require no hub to work and have preset light colours available via the rear button. The hub merely enhances and integrates the lamp into the rest of the household light network and gives you more flexibility.

All I bought this year was a usbc PD/QC4 90w charger for the surface book.
It was on my wish list.

So I've only spent 30 this weekend. Just don't need anything.

Also, spent some time with an alexa this weekend at a friend's house. Won't be getting one. Felt like a lot of faff, so that saves a project next year

Alexa is good for three things:
1. kitchen timer
2. changing hue lights
3. putting on the heating/hot water

apart from that its pretty pointless, but I still like appreciate the convenance of not having to load an app on your phone to do those things.
until we reach a point where most electronics have smart functionality its always going to be a novelty purchase.
