And anyway, who says french is a silly language? I suppose it is in absolute terms, but seeing as Dutch is a more silly language (sorry Dutch Guy et al) and flemish is a positively ridiculous language, french isn't too bad.

Na ja, Deutsch ist ein sehr gut Sprache! Mein Deutsch ist besser als mein Französisch, aber nur ein bisschen.

Actually, are the germans ahead of us in tkc? Only they should be in theory because of all the long words they insist on using :p

Having said that, I wonder if they have a word for Antidisestablishmentarianism?

I think the Germans TheBeansprout referred to originally are the Team Germany guys who we've left in the dust since all of the new recruits came along.

Don't know about Antidisestablishmentarianism, but the Germans can have nouns of pretty much infinite length because they can just keep sticking them together into one absolutely massive one.

Floccinaucinihilipilification was on QI ('Quite Interesting') last Friday night, and I already knew about antidisestablishmentatianism and supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (the latter being hard to avoid with a mother who is somewhat hooked on Julie Andrews musicals - especially Sound of Music). As for the rest, GIYF (google is your friend).
