Do you shake hands?

When I lived in France, it's considered rude to not shake hands with males and trade cheek smooches with females everytime you met.

Although i do think the Japanese have it right with wearing masks in public, then again they can harbour more germs through the heat in your breath.

Tough world we live in.

OP is weird.
I shake hands nearly everyday and rarely get sick, more importantly I work in various "dirty" environments and dont get sick often, I had flu about 3 years ago AFAIK nothing since.

Or are you one of those people who get a runny nose and are dieing?
If you get ill more than once a year then perhaps you should seed medical advice as thats definatly not normal.

Now normally i don't, but on friday i shook hands with a big strapping polish lad, lo and behold two days later im here feeling like death.

So i have come to the idea of not shaking hands anymore, sounds harsh but im sick and fedup of getting sick, just because someone cba to wash their hands.

Plus this article reminded me of it.

What do you think, impersonal or looking after ones health?

I think you're mental.

You shook hands with someone, two days later you're ill and you blame it on the shaking hands??

Seriously, is this for real? Your logic is akin to that of religious fanatics and people that wear lucky charms. Just because you wore a lucky rabbits foot two days before you won the lottery doesn't mean it had any effect.

You do realise that for 48 hours prior to being ill you probably touched countless other surfaces. Then consider all the air born possibilities.

Christ, for someone like yourself, as others have suggested, you're probably best shaking MORE hands to liven up your immune system.

Cowboy the **** up. Man flu is something we pull on the woman in our life, not something we complain to other men about having.

That's why you don't rely on them washing theirs and you wash your own :)

Being such a filthy urchin myself, I have no issues in shaking hands with others. It's likely to be those pastey mo fo's getting sick, not me. :D

Solution and very bling :)

Or you could keep a disinfectant wet wipe in your pocket and clean your hands immediately after touching the dirty foreigner while making a wretching noise and screwing up your face in disgust. I prefer the bling option
