Doctor Who

They will have to find another [older] companion, otherwise things could get a bit creepy... in a bad way.

I have to agree, things will get a little strange I am sure..

I also wonder what they will do about the accent.. With Tennant, they made him drop the accent in favour of a non-descript english accent.. Where as Capaldi is older, and more stubborn..

I thought it was widely know Moffat wanted the show to appeal to a younger audience before Smith was even cast? I'd guess he just suited the role at the time which Moffat alluded to during the reveal when he said Capaldi wasn't the right man for the job the last time.

True, I wonder why they have went with such a different actor this time around, pressure from the top or just a change of heart maybe.

I'd have no problem with Moffat sticking around to write the odd episode here and there, which is something he truly excels at, but as head writer and the person who decides how DW unfolds we really need a change because he's got it badly wrong imo.
How I feel, its like before he/someone got to pick and choose his best scripts, but now as head writer any rubbish gets the nod just to get enough episodes in a series sorted

I'm sure he can, and will, tone it down; not that there is anything wrong nice Scot's accent... I think he should keep it personally.
