Doctor Who

A good episode but it highlights the problem with 45 minute episodes. I think they squashed far too much in to the 90 minutes when it could've easily lasted 5 or 6 episodes. We didn't get to see much of the Daleks and there wasn't much story to explain who they were or what they were doing. We also saw a minimal amount of fighting between all the different sides. It was good but could've been so much better.

Edit: I was hoping the new girl would've been saved so I don't know how she'll fit in to the new series now that everyone knows she died during this one.

enjoyable episode.
witha bit of humour added between the Daleks and Cybermen.

I guess we'll be seeing more of the daleks in a later episode.

Daleks were trying to reassert them selfs. True there wasn't much story about them but its sor of eplained since there part of a secret project thing.

EXTERMINTE!

Is that what Daleks do with fizzy drinks mixed with sugary mints? ;)

Seriously, good episode. Shame we have to wait until xmas for the xmas special, and then next year for the new series.

I am glad I spent 70 quid a few weeks ago on classic Dr Who dvds!

Should keep me busy!

well that was REALY good, well done ending too, just not sure about the tate bit at the end  I'd not have thought she would be any good for a Dr Who episode, hope it doesn't turn into Dr Who does The Cathrin Tate Show !

Had to laugh when that guy transports the doctor to the alternate earth with one of those ring things then not 10 seconds later mickie produces his (exactly the same as the other guys) and says it can only transport one person. :p

Did The Other Pete not hand the Doctor one of the teleportation discs, then push his own and the Doctors to transport them to The Other Pete's universe?

Not from what i seen, the doctor shouted no then the guy pressed his ring then they were in the alternate earth.

Ooer missus.

Innuendo aside, I'm sure I remember him giving the Doctor one of the devices, and it appears that pressing one of them can activate more than one (that's how Pete got Jackie to the alternative universe near the end). Though that might be my memory playing tricks on me.

You are superior in only one aspect

What aspect is that?

You die faster.

:D

It was so cheesey and predictable that it somehow circled all the way around and became funny. lol

Fan's have been waiting for this confrontation for years, and if I'm honest I thought it was a bit of a let down because it was just too darn short. As someone already said it should have been a 3 or 4 parter.

I didn't like the fact that the daleks clearly just outclassed the cybermen. I think they should have been a bit more of a match for each other.

I personally thought billie piper was quite good as an actress. I guess I've never been a very good judge of acting ability, at least not by the standards other people seem to hold. All I can say is do they really know how someone would behave if they were in a situation like this? I'm guessing not.

I am dissapointed that Davros hasn't returned :(

Well that one black dalek escaped at the end, obviously they'll return at some point. And they have milions of daleks and cybermen trapped in the void so theyre not extinct just have to find a way through again.

but they made a few cybermen on earth right, so why would they have this radiation stuff and get sucked...

unless they carried materials across or something

anyhow, cool ep, glad to see end of billy (she can't act). I personally would have liked it to be longer though (maybe over 3 eps)

The ones on earth came from the alternate earth, they had to come through the void so they had that radiation or whatever which was a marker for them to get sucked into the void.

Loved the banter between the Daleks and cybermen, esp the bit about pest control :D

I was sat with my family watching it and the whole episode I had this massive grin on my face, my sister was less than impressed, but I hate to say it but I felt like a kid again watching that 1 this evening, top stuff :D Can't wait for the next series.

Not all of them, some of them were upgraded in this dimension. Plot hole tbh! That's a first for Dr Who :p
