Doctor Who

I enjoyed it, it was a bit long winded though and they shouldn't have messed with that event. It's such an important part of the doctor, now it's just another 'enemy of the week' that they've found a deus ex machina to fix at the last minute.

I loved it. Very well done and not too tacky. It doesnt change the storyline as such. Timelords still stuck in a time bubble, Darleks dead. Win Win.

Angels back for xmas special, yes please!

I enjoyed it.
I am going to forgive them for lifting an impossibly heavy object (tardis) with a helicopter in the opening scene, but it almost ruined my enjoyment of the show.
So they managed to forgo the time lock, Gallifrey is frozen.
Nice working in of the next doctor's face (eyes) in a single scene.
Sets up the 'death' of the doctor nicely, but I'll have to review the history of what know of that T planet before the Christmas episode.
I reiterate from much earlier in this thread that Jenna Louise Coleman would be amazing in porn, those eyes have it, lets gets some more Confessions of a callgirl (Billie Piper) and add JLC alongside Belle.

Personally I loved it. And so did the people in the cinema I was in. Laughed at the humour and loved how it ended.

Judging on the round of applause it got at the end I'm judging this special a success :)

It was better when it was rawer, feels too slick now. Maybe it was of its time and should have ended years ago?

Yep, all these types of sci-fi shows are too slick these days, too 'hollywood'.

And why does there always have to be subtle sexual innuendos thrown in to TV shows also aimed at kids. There were one or two tonight.

Really enjoyed it, not as much as dalek episodes but better than recent series'. Good job dr who team, nice seeing the cast that took part, spoiled me including one of my all time favs, Tom Baker. A return of the best writers is all we need now and some more Daleks and not ones that look like they've come from a renault dealership.

theres a qoute from moffat somewhere about how his kid approves all the monsters

He and Jon Pertwee were my favourites. I did like Baker's clever line and finger gestures at the end:

"WHO >>
NOSE <<" (knows)

btw, how come some doctors got old, but the main two in the show are hundreds of years old and still young?

I think it's hard to beat the one you grew up watching, first tone of that voice and I was instant recognition, edge of seat. He filled that role so well that you would believe he was the dr, even though they didn't have the effects they have now back then.
