Doctor Who

Enjoyed this one as did the kids - as mentioned a good 'romp' around for the kids; which is what Dr Who is all about?

But, yes, not dark or scary, what are we expecting to happen if the Dr does go down this road? It certainly wouldn't be child friendly anymore.

Anyway, my bug bear with this one was that the Dr seemed to be the weaker character in this episode - Clara is upstaging him everytime.

Truly terrible episode. Disgracefully bad actually. Who writes something like that and thinks it's good? They must know it's drivel. It's so, so far from that spark of greatness we got in that Paul Mcgann mini clip on YouTube earlier in the year.

Awful stuff poorly written garbage. I'll try next week, if it's better I shall persevere, if not, I shall not bother any more. I like Capaldi as the Doctor, the storylines and scripts are just terrible.

Just saw this episode, definitely not the best but for mindless fun I enjoyed it.
You're definitely right about Clara, she came across so strong where as the doctor came across quite weak, I swear none of the episodes from Matt Smith's first season came across like this, he was always the one that took charge.

I love Moffat, and I sit no where near the he should be sacked camp, but I do fear he has not dealt well with fame acclaim. As show runner, he is a personality driven yes man - no idea is too daft and nobody will tell him otherwise.

Next weeks episode looks a little darker. Going back to some of the root childhood fears "What is under the bed at night". Hopefully something along the lines of the first Weeping Angels episode under Tennants reign which was utterly fantastic. Fingers crossed!

Last nights was a good romp for the kids. I want some of the poop the bed episodes now.

I grew up watching Colin Baker and I don't recognise this as the same programme. The Doctor seems only ever to be superficially deep and is far too god like. The opposite of what makes a compelling hero.

I can handle things being unbelievable as long as there is internal logic. The business with the golden arrow at the end broke this just so Robin could fire an arrow.

I'm only watching these days for the occsional exceptional episode as opposed to the regular dross.

Well I've had some time to digest what I saw last night and although I think I still enjoyed it I keep thinking Clara took charge way too often and the Doctor was just there trying to out wit Robin Hood. I also don't understand why he was so eager to disprove Robin's existence when there were bad guys all around him.
The more I think about this episode the more I dislike it, weird as I really do want to like it and still enjoyed parts of it.
Anyone else find the musical score in this season is no where near as good as the last Doctor's?

Didn't mind last night's episode. Made me chuckle a few times.

I think they need to check the continuity sometimes though.

Check the TARDIS door when the Doctor steps out into Sherwood Forest. Open, almost closed, open a bit more, closed, bit open ... etc ;)

Yeah I hope so, that first Weeping Angels episode is something I still remember to this day :p

Never mind that a solid gold arrow would weigh about a kilo, so there is no way on god's green earth you could fire it a hundred feet into the air.

I forgot this was a kids program, terrible wake up call, as it gone back to it's roots ? waste of time watching last night's episode.
