Doctor Who

I thought the CGI was some of the best I've ever seen in DW. For the moment the characters are so beige it's untrue, Jodie Wittaker's talents are not really being exploited at all. Instead of being the "Doctor" she's simply one of the team. As of yet the stories have just been pantomime routines. Just waiting for someone shout "It's behind you"

True enough, he was however way to young to be a Dr or at the very least baby faced, But then i am not really into his acting either so was always going to hard for him to work for me as a Dr.

Still the list still stands at

Tenet
Ecclestone
Baker
Capaldi

Everyone else was just meh :)

Very disappointing episode. Last week had me pretty much hooked. This week was just hard to watch after the first 10 mins (which was actually quite good). The episode showed up the acting weaknesses of all the companions, the sub plots just didn’t add anything to it, and the threat was just daft.

nothing to say - completely forgettable, mid-season low-effort fill-in episode ? do they have a team who work on ideas, or just chebnell ?

with the spacship environment I made a comparison with red dwarf, its episodes always better quality than this, and who is probably twice the cost per episode,
cant find any current who budgets .. just 4 years ago ~ £1million.

Red dwarf had it's fair share of fluff in its later years. Back to earth...I mean there nothing good to be said about that at all.

Pretty much anything after season 6, w
Any sins were forgiven with the 'cured' Hitler one

but dissecting doctor who ... are there any bones

- the whole baby thing - other than the casualty'esque apple pie ending what was that saying about diversity - you can gender re-assign but you cant' have babies., plus the religious prayer at the end ... is Chris C religious ?
- the dissing of engineers as screw-driver carrying minions, the (stereotyped) coloured nurse lacking self-confidence.
- the discourse on the death of his Mum (heart attack ! obesity/smoking ?) - unnecessarily gatuitous - might wash over children.
- but the anti-matter tutorial good ?

Still think its a mistake not having Missy come back as the Dr somehow
As someone who's only started watching in this season (and I can't be the only one, looking at ratings this season vs the last few) This ^ sort of thing would have felt like a barrier to starting watching. I've no idea who 'missy' is, and it seems a bit unfriendly to new viewers to have that sort of backstory going on.

Briefly. Missy is the master (regenerated). The master is the archenemy of the doctor and also a time lord, who essentially wants to control/take over the universe. There is a lot missed if this is the first ever season of watching.

This season has been OKish for me some episodes i have enjoyed, however for me (still lacks a lot of emotion and force/power in both acting and writing).

Seasons 1-7 (new) are a whole new calibre in this regard. Seasons 8-10 are pretty good but the writing started to fall at this point.

However if you are enjoying it (or not as the case may be) i highly recommend you watch earlier seasons as well at some point (couple of fan made trailers below) :).
