The problem isn't going away, as the breed of dog is largely irrelevant. Four dog breeds banned in the 90's? I think, so what did breeders do? came up with their own, the issues lie with breeders and the owners who are looking for this kind of dog.

Walks I've done with my Vizsla when she's been off lead and not bitten a dog, or a person or anything else - 2190ish

Did attacks had fallen and like you say it is 30 years since the first breeds were banned. Yes an alternative will emerge but it will take time and until then ownership of these dangerous dogs is better controlled and the number of attacks will likely fall again.

The good owners will apply for an exemption and muzzle the dogs in public the scum bags won’t and the dogs will gradually be removed from circulation yea it will take time but it is proven to be effective.

I'd expect most will apply, it's hardly onerous, neutered, chipped, muzzle and a lead in public. Job done.

I don't just dislike them, I want them gone they provide nothing but smell, excrement and danger to society (I appreciate that working dogs have a place)

That really just sounds like you dislike them as it's not objective at all. I'm sure hundreds of millions of people worldwide are going to want something that ONLY provide smell, excrement and danger to others.

It's a completely disingenuous argument that only considers the negative. You could apply that to all sorts of things using your logic.
