Yesterday was the first full training session since September/August time. I forgot how tiring they are.

Decided to sack off the core and final pulling exercise as I was absolutely knackered.

Yeah Delvis that is my gym now. Notbad.jpg but it gets busy as anything sometimes and there is occasionally issues with plate availability.

In other news no training today to save time for exam revision. Yay. Back on Friday.
 
How you finding the knee sleeves? Also noticed you're doing low bar with oly shoes, how's that working out for you? Your movement is different.
 
Love the knee sleeves. They actually support rather than like the others that just kept me warm. Low bar + oly is good I think. I started because of the lack of ankle range in my left and I think it was a good idea at least for the time being. I'm trying to keep things as close to my old pattern as possible so I don't think there is a huge difference between this and my old pattern, nothing even close to the difference between my old squat and high bar.


Didn't really train at the end of last week due to a combination of exam stress and being very drunk :p. Going back to the gym tomorrow with some of the guys from the football team which should be fun.

Also had my first football session of the year today and it's safe to say it's not a good start. First play I did involved running head first into people which is what I'm good at and of course I bossed it :p, but as I got tackled (by several people I might add :p) * someone hit my right lower leg just as weight went down onto it and it pushed the joint too far and I've now got another injury to add to the tally :mad:. Noway near as bad as the other but it took me out of contact for the rest of the session. I managed to book a physio for 1 tomorrow so we'll see how things go. I'm still planning on gymming tomorrow I just may have to take squats with a bit of care.

Also found a powerlifter who is not playing AF due to a minor injury but is still training and he may be pretty strong. I think he is 18-19, about 90kg and has a total nearing 600kg. The people I have spoken to can't provide any decent information but I should meet him tomorrow so we'll see what happens.

Spent way too long talking to the powerlifter guy so session was way too long but I'll be honest I was glad for the rest :p. He is a good guy and very strong, he could be a force in the 93s this year.

Can confirm twas not nice. Although I've just watched the videos and actually it all looks pretty good. 6th rep in some of the sets is slow but it's 6 reps and that is too much volume for a powerlifter :p. Also missed a few videos of my bench annoyingly :(.

Missed vids of bench - no care. Bench is for powerlifters. ;)
 

Couple of times I waver in the squats but nothing major. Also I think I'm going to keep the beard growing until I pb on something :p.
 
I've learnt that the best way to peak with a beard is like this:

Grow beard through strength accumulation and consolidation.

Trim beard for taper.


Also, none of those were slow you phaggot, it's just that no one was cardio or none terrible music.
 
Yeah it was just feels. I watched it back and realised they were all actually pretty good. I'm looking forward to the next few weeks :cool:.
