It just proves that deep down we are all affected by feels :(

I think when you have quite a high proprioceptive awareness, like most seasoned lifters do, small movements feel exaggerated massively.

For example, my second rep in my working double of deadlifts yesterday. 1st rep, joocey. 2nd rep, felt groce, but looks exactly the same. I felt my lumbar move what felt like massively, a proper banana back, but on camera I can't spot anything :confused:

Deads were ok, not a fan of the deficit but not bad at all.

Squats were interesting. Like I said ankle wasn't 100% but still fine. I'm not sure whether to carry on in oly shoes until comp and then change or to change now. Angle look reasonably similar to how they used to:

Looking nice. We're you just using the oly shoes to allow you to get back to squatting without putting to much strain on your ankle?
 
Yeah basically. Dorsi flexion was severely limited so I put the only shoes on to compensate for this. It has been getting stronger and more flexible so I though I'd give it a go.

I think position is there really I just need to keep practicing it, and its just whether there is enough time to do it before the comp to get it back to where I want it. I'd much prefer to be squatting flat shoed, I think the only shoes have a tendency to tip me forward.
 
Yeah absolutely I would just prefer not to if possible :/

Think I might try my heavy squats tomorrow without the oly shoes to test a bit more.
 
Probably won't be all that joocy at all unfortunately. My main aim is just to qualify for nationals at this stage, which will be easy because the qualifying total for the 83s is 402.5kg lol.
 
Can't be bothered to write up the workouts from this week, I've been a little busy and I can't remember some of it. I know I did some floor pressing which was weird but seems like something I could use. Also squatted without oly shoes which worked quite nicely I think and I deadlifted up to a 215 single which went pretty well. Not a bad week for me but has been busy as hell.

I really like that in my previous deadlift video there were 3 guys curling in unison. Made me lol
 
Get the same at my place, then you get people tryibg to deadlift vut just do banana bounce lifts instead.

It scares me even more as you aee so many PTs walking past them not batting an eye lid. Ooh also is anyone recording your lifts at the comp?
 
I'll have my tripod available with my camera in all likelihood, I also probably have someone there watching that can manage it all for me.

Only had time for squats today. Supposed to be 3x3 day on RMSR but I changed things a little.

180kgx3 BOOM! Really happy with this.
160kgx3 Took it down because I have a mock meet on Monday in prep for the comp next weekend. Camera ran out of memory :(

So happy with today. The 180kg was definitely a max for the moment but considering I failed a single of it in January I am so happy. The second and third reps suffer from me pitching forward slightly but I should be able to manage this easily enough. The rest of the reps on the warmups all felt really fast and sexy and the 160kgx3 drop set was really nice. Things are on the mend :).
