Comp was last weekend for the unaware, here is the video.
Squat: I'm very happy with. Would have been nice to get a few extra keegs on it but to have made a 192.5 look that good is enough for me.
Bench: I'm a little frustrated with. Bench has been feeling good recently but I have had some issues with shoulder in the last week or two. I managed to fix a lot of issues in my T-spine and shoulder so I thought I was in for some good things but the second attempt was a little rushed because they called the wrong person at first and my back cramped up because I wasn't fully focused. That kind of scuppered chances on the third attempt but oh well.
Deadlift: I was expecting this to be the worst of the three but it surprised me, the 220kg felt great and like there was definitely more there. I failed 225kg just below my knee
. There was some rotation off the floor which I don't think helped but I think it was mostly just that I was fatigued and not used to doing so much in one day. Never the less, this kind of progress with only having done <10 deadlift sessions since September is only a good thing.
Overall I am very pleased. I qualified for nationals and broke my comp total and comp squat PBs and equalled my comp deadlift PB.
Next cycle is planned and ready to go but it won't be starting until next week because I have the final football game of the season this week and I also wanted to take a break after the comp. I might be going in one day this week to sort out a membership at this other gym and to just keep things moving but other than that this week is purely football.
