Although I haven't done a forensic analysis of the exchange (and I've only seen that clip and not anything that took place before) it looked to me as though Trump didn't like her question and so did his default look over there/blame someone else routine, intending to move on quickly to the next reporter. I wouldn't be at all surprised if at that point he had no concept that his telling her to "Ask China" could be construed as personal and relating to her appearance. Then of course things escalated as she stood her ground and Trump seemed to become even more erratic in his exchange with the next female reporter that tried to ask a question before he promptly ran away.



Maybe it genuinely felt racist to her, or maybe it was simply just too big a gaff for her to let it pass. We know that Trump hates it when people challenge or stand up to him and he appears to be so insensitive and lacking in empathy that I can believe he didn't initially grasp what he done. A normal person would have apologised for any misunderstanding and clarified their point, but not Trump who seems to have no ability to think on his feet. I can imagine a handler around the corner realising that Trump was losing his grip on proceedings and frantically telling him over an earpiece to walk away before the situation span completely out of control.

There is no doubt Trump is racist. I'm not sure he was being racist last night, his normal insensitive self, absolutely. He was certainly being a man child and throwing his toys out though.
 
Hasn't he got a gym to go an infect with his sheer arrogance, stupidity and a dash of COVID0-19?

As for the Trump's exchange with that reporter - when I view/read it, him being racist doesn't jump out at me or seem apparent. He's a racist SOB but I just don't see it in this instance.

I think Mitch has to win an award for his blaming Obama leaving the US unprepared, demonstrably false and WTF have the GOP been doing for 3.5 years?
 
TBH, he was being xenophobic and trying to cause ill will towards the Chinese, but that's always been his way, no matter the race of the reporter or if he's tweeting unprompted, it's what he is, odious.

I don't think in this case it was because of her race though.

Oh so because a leak could happen it happened. Right I see, so Fox News running an inaccurate story and Trump making a statement based on that story that suits his politics without any evidence is grounds to cut funding to an American company doing vital work on the ground? Australian Gov says everything points to animal transfer. Of course for there to even be a leak that lab had to have this virus in its possession, which there is no evidence of either. So its a guess. If or when they have evidence then would be the time to take action, not for political gain, that is shortsighted and self defeating.

Anyway, how exactly is it for political gain? Do you think Trump wants the pandemic to carry on? Ecohealth had funding increased, so its obviously nothing to do with being anti-science or not being interested in funding these type of projects. These strories that it could have been a leak are not new, they have been going around for months, China silenced doctors and scientists who spoke out about it with regards to how it started, and how some of it did not add up that it started in a meat market. You do realise that CCP lie constantly, dont you? Like i said previously, China has a record with leaks, why is it CT to suggest it has happened again?

Also, you do realise that China threatened Australia for questioning how this flu started, don't you?

China also tried infiltrating Australia's government at one point, Google it. I think the CCP were paying some guy to run for parliament. It's not impossible that they're giving money to all sorts of government officials in a kind of lobbying effort, I think there was a list leaked ranking US governors/representatives as "friendly" and "not friendly" or something along those lines not so long ago. Joe Biden's son has taken money from China as well as his Ukraine "dealings".
 
It's interesting hearing lawyers argue that presidents are above the law. I guess that puts an end to #obamagate, although 4 years and no convictions is long enough tbf.

Trump has likely taken money from anyone who will give it to him.

One of their arguments appeared to suggest Watergate was a too recent decision, so should be discounted.

Of course he has, his kids + Jared have too. Funny how they are given a free pass but Hunter Biden is public enemy number 1 yet they found nothing in his financial records (the ones Mnuchin handed over at first request).
 
What happened to Kayleigh's promise of not lying to the American People? She boasted "every single American that needed a ventilator has received a ventilator". How is that possible when you have over 80,000 deaths, are they meant to believe no one that died needed a ventilator in their critical moment?
