Don't you understand the point he's trying to make, he's responding to the people that criticise him for the number of cases.

If you have lots of tests, you're obviously going to see a higher rate of cases. It's not that hard to understand is it

If he wins a second term they have the president they deserve just like we now have the government we deserve. And boy, we’re all going to regret it.

People are criticising him because he didn't do anything for 4 months. People are criticising him because he's killed 80,000 people.
There is no point for him to make. He's a ******* moron.

To be fair a number of Countries have higher testing rates and lower infections per million.

I'm not sure it's a great comparison anyway but that's not an accurate defence.

His lack of action for months has contributed to the death toll.
His riling up the anti lockdown loons has contributed to the death toll.
His decrying of science has contributed to the death toll.
His rush to reopen will contribute to the death toll.
His poor leadership has contributed to the death toll.
Him ignoring experts has contributed to the death toll.
His downplaying the virus has contributed to the death toll.
His dismantling of pandemic response teams(because Obama) has contributed to the death toll.
His ignoring the pandemic playbook Obama left(because Obama) has contributed to the death toll (even if the playbook wasn't especially comprehensive).
Him touting bleach has contributed to the death toll.
Him touting unproven drugs has contributed to the death toll.

Face facts, he is a weak leader out of his depth.

Has Boris killed 33,000 people then?
He is responsible for the extra deaths because he didn't handle the situation as well as he could have and so extra people died. Just like Trump is responsible for the extra deaths and extra job loss's Trump cause only Trump handled the situation massively worse then Boris with Trump causing massive extra deaths and massive extra economic damages.

"If you have lots of tests, you're obviously going to see a higher rate of cases. It's not that hard to understand is it"
Seems to be hard to understand for you. If Trump handled the situation correctly there wouldn't be a massive higher rate of cases even after lots of tests which is 100% Trumps fault. Just like the faulty tests, missing tests, lies about there not being a anti pandemic handbook and not restocking medial supplies is all Trumps fault. But your so gullible you believe his lies over looking at the truth and facts.

Other county's that got the first infection on the same date as the US are now on a 90% reduction. The only reason the US has been hit so hard and all down to Trump.

Failure of words....just lol at his logic. Absolutely insane logic that is.

It’s just so damned insane that you can’t get angry about it, you just got to laugh that this is the best candidate America out in charge of their country 4 yrs ago and will probably do it again.
Has Boris killed 33,000 people then?
Taking a piece of your logic, it’s better than the near 90k that Trump indirectly caused the deaths of Americans ;). Just like indirectly Boris and our govt have caused 33k deaths due to their ineptness.

If handling something poorly is murder then the World Health Organisation (and China) are responsible for 303,000 deaths and counting for covering it up and allowing it spread. Why are we still funding the WHO?

I do agree that Boris has been shamefully slow to close the borders and enact quarantine policy but even if he had done it day 1 it was too late because it had been covered up for so long at source.

Still funding the WHO because governments dont work on weak conspiracy theories but facts. Other than Trump.

If any actual facts come to light then I would expect some shake up to happen but not on the back of Trumps weak deflection CT.

At least you admit Trump has handled it poorly.

Sentences like this just don't make people take you seriously. It's an infectious disease, it was probably already in America and spreading when it even became a thing we were realistically concerned about. He put in place a lot of ventilators for a worse case scenario, America has a lot of testing, it's easy to use hind sight and say people should've done things. To go and directly say they are responsible for deaths is deranged.

He means if they had less testing they’d have less recorded cases. Or, rather, his argument is that they are going to have the most recorded cases by virtue of them having many tests.

Anyone want to come up with some conspiracy theories why there is one cardboard box slightly askew in the background? I see it is over his LEFT shoulder, Trump signalling his true Democrat leanings, making a plea for help now that he has taken his Republican charade too far and wants to go back to being a Democrat? Republican strategists polled and found that OCD is slightly more prevalent in rednecks and so they would not be able to fully scrutinise the **** he was saying? Put there in the hope BoxGate would start trending and displace Trump ****witgate for a couple of hours?

Well, not quite.

He also suggested that sunlight would make it go away (it would be a miracle) and that somehow getting disinfectant into the body would be a way to kill the virus.

During this time he also approved the budget that cut the CDC's budget. He also visited the CDC with an election campaign cap on and said that they had tests for everyone who needed one. They didn't. Now his administration is pressuring the CDC to reclassify deaths to lower the impact of the virus.

He played golf a lot.

No matter how much social media capital is available to expend, it won't be enough now. The election is lost, and his legacy is secured, although it'll take a few years to measure just how bad it is. Hopefully history will judge this administration as a benchmark for something, at all costs, to avoid in the future when other extremists emerge as 'popular' candidates.

I would also hope lessons would be learned but popularism currently has a hold on society I can’t see it changing in the next 6 months. What works in the favour of the popularists is that they still have something to blame in this case the CHINA virus, “those bat eating, wet market holding ... etc” (check out the Bryan Adams tweet, yes I know he’s Canadian).

Not really, tests in themselves don't increase or decrease the number of cases as all they do is provide you with information, it's what you do with that information that's the important part.

You could be testing everyone in the country every day but that would count for nothing if you did nothing with the results, all you'd be doing is tracking the progress, you'd be a casual observer. If on the other hand when you identified a new case you isolated that person, traced where they'd been in the last few days, who they'd been in contact with, perhaps even administer anti-viral drugs, then you're no longer a casual observer you're actively trying to effect the number of new cases, you're doing something with the information, you're responding to the situation.

The reason people keep asking Trump why testing is so important is because they want to hear what he's doing in response to all the information that his much vaunted testing is gathering as testing alone is pointless if you're not going to do anything with the information it provides. They want to hear him say something along the lines of how their letting people know that they've been in contact with someone who tested positive and as such they should be self isolating for the next 7-14 days and that they should contact health officials if they start to show symptoms, they basically want to know what he intends to do in order to slow the spread of the virus.

And AFAIA so far they've received a big fat zero from Trump, if we take what he says at face value and accept that they're doing the most testing in the world that counts for nothing if you'd don't know what to do with the information it provides.

If the World Health Organisation (and China) had total authority and control over the worlds health then you'd have a point, however as they don't it just seem you've taken the "world" part in their name a little to literally.
He means if they had less testing they’d have less recorded cases. Or, rather, his argument is that they are going to have the most recorded cases by virtue of them having many tests.
You mean a bit like if i don't get tested for the clap down the STD clinic i don't have the clap? Or a bit like if i don't get X-ray'ed i don't have a broken leg despite this jaunty angle it's at? Yea, I'm not seeing the logic there.

Think about what you've just said and apply it to Trump and his administration and the bare-faced lies they tell to the people every day of the week.
