Don’t ever go round this ladies house for dinner!

She was cagey on where she got the 'shrooms from and who got served what. Also, she disposed of some cooking equipment which police later found in a skip. While I don't think she killed her family members on purpose, this does look bad on her and there is the other half of the family who are thinking "why the hell did she do this? / why is she hiding stuff?"

Mushrooms are just one of those things in any forms you just DO NOT mess with unless you really know what you are doing....

Last thing i'm ever doing is sticking a random mushroom i've picked up into my mouth even if i'm nearly sure it's the right one.

I would never trust a home picked mushroom dinner.
Did they even know it was hand picked?
i agree it all sounds sus............ however, you dont trust home picked mushrooms? i always used to go mushroom picking as a kid.... my dad still does (he picked some as it happens when i went up to see him 2 weeks ago).

perhaps its different in Oz however.

There are too many deadly mushrooms, I wouldn't trust my life to someone (especially not an expert) in this way.

So you can get food poison from mushrooms!

I mean there are plenty that will liquify your liver and kidneys. This isn’t the first time someone has taken out their whole family. We used to pick and cook mushrooms with some decent knowledge, but even then, looking back I’m not sure it was the best idea.

A noob could easily mistake a death cap for an edible.

But even an expert, I'd have to know they were a proper expert. And I'm just not sure id ever trust that.

Its not like picking some blackberries

Here's a pic of a young deathcap.

They are quite common. Even a piece can kill you. Highly toxic!
