It's actually mushroom season right now. Have these growing in a few spots in the garden and woods:



Apparently there's lot of chanterelle mushroom around too. I do not dare!

Chanterelle mushrooms are easy . I was lucky enough to go picking some in Sweden and then Denmark, and if I can manage it anyone can.

They're delicious!

Many years ago, some girls I knew went picking magic mushrooms.

They came to me to check what they had. They had a lunch box full of mushrooms and toadstools of all sorts- some corking specimens in there, most rather dangerous.

I advised them all to wash their hands thoroughly, bin the lunchbox and give up.
