Door locks - replacement advice needed

The centre piece/frame for the French doors is attached to the second door. You can't get access to the side of the second door, its just how they are manufactured. Silly really!

hope that makes sense

Got it;Looked less obvious when viewing from the inside but from the outside I can see its attached to the door itself. I imagine the design provides a better means to insulate between the two doors. I don't see the point of hiding the screw for the second lock though.

Been keyed alike in the house for 6 months now. It's so handy. Garrison mul t lock in the front door and the bi fold doors at the back. Spare keys are expensive if you try the high street. Timpsons wanted £18 a key!! Got them online for £5 each.

Those who have used the hoppe pas24 handles

I've fitted my new ones today, the handle though do you just push them on or do you need to use the small Allen key thing to tighten it?

Can't really work out if there is a screw in the tiny hole or if it's only used to take the handle off

This thread has been rather helpful, I need to change the front lock as it's starting to get hard to put a key in at times (not just the one key but any of the ones for it), so I was looking at keyed alike and replacing the back door one at the same time, and given the fun and games we've had recently on my street I'm going to go with the Avocet ABS ones.

It's now looking like I'll end up replacing the front, back, patio and garage door locks with a set of keyed alike ones, and take my house/car keys from 5 to 2.
