If that's what you choose to believe, fair enough I like both styles of play, it's nothing about being afraid of it. Of course there won't be a variable to turn it off, they are all part of the quake/ET skill set.

According to splashdamage it was turned on and off a few times in the beta, if thats the case hopefuly theres some kind of variable.

Had a look at the video but couldn't really work it out...is it bunnyhopping we're talking about here or simply jumping around like a loony to make you more difficult to hit? (i.e., no stamina limit)

There will proberly be a server side command to limit the mavity or something to stop bunny hopping or to turn it off completely

That link was just for the beta client, we will all need to register as soon as FP have it up, and it will usally be in the afternoon as i believe it works on American time.

Hmm, I hope the game doesn't turn out to be just like that.

I know I recently was watching a BF2142 video and it was very similar, yet when you're playing it's not like that.

Not really.

This is the closed beta to test out gameplay, balancing etc. If they made it an open beta how do they incorporate what everyone would suggest. Now if it was a closed Demo that would be a lot different

No-one knows yet, but as i stated before fileplanet are bound to have some bg hoopla of advertising over this a few days in advance, really can't see it being anytime before friday at earliest.
