Dr. Disrespect permanently banned from Twitch

Apologies if the discussion has moved on, but I opened the thread and the first thing I saw was someone stating that Pewdiepie is a Neo-Nazi as if it were an unquestionable fact, and as if they knew what they were talking about... Utter nonsense, as I'm sure some others have likely already pointed out.

Felix isn't a Nazi, he just knows how to trigger soft headed idiots with controversial edgy and sarcastic dark humour...

I haven't watched his content for a few years ever since he moved away from playing horror games and started catering to the sort of people who like cringey over-animated vlog type videos, but I know people who know him well, and trust me, he isn't a Nazi...

His personality outside of Youtube, streaming, and so on, is also far removed from his natural personality when he isn't in front of a camera. He almost comes across as awkward at times. Even shy. You wouldn't expect it of someone like him with the enormous image he has.

I've made anti semetic jokes and "final solution" jokes before, I am also not a Nazi. :p

Anyway, have we found out why DrD was banned yet? Was it the rival streaming platform thing after all? I have never watched anything he has ever made, but I am still curious because I know he was a big deal in the world of Twitch.

from a couple of weeks ago, first few minutes, we know about as much as he apparently does. :)

His persona is public and the legal details are something completely different, should he have to explain the nonsense of the court system not really. He cant frame it within that character unsurprisingly and I dont blame him for just holding his hands up and claiming it was all twitch dropping it on him.

I played that game too and felt parts of me dying and falling off with utter boredom disease.
Problem with that game might be its not the action type of game people wanted, not sure its a failure in its own category. Dont think I'll take a chance just yet though, steam seems to have put me on their naughty list for trying a game and refunding it even though in theory thats ok to do.

In related news, the streamer Destiny has just lost Twitch and Discord partnerships worth an estimated $250,000 a year for coming out in support of white supremacists murdering BLM protestors. He's previously had temp bans for homophobic slurs and inappropriate content, and last year a LoL podcast he did ended when it came out that he was regularly dropping the N-bomb behind the scenes and refused to apologise to his black cast partner.

Some of Destiny's fans were angry that he lost his Twitch partnership when other streamers have said similar things with little or no consequence. This includes Hasanabi, who said to "kill those mother******* in the street" regarding "capitalist" property owners. Immediately after, Hasanabi clarified that he only wanted "the streets soaked red with their blood" within a video game, not in real life.

Absolutely no surprise that the leftist streamer doesn't get punished. :o

Leafy just got banned from Twitch too, after getting banned from youtube a week or two earlier for bullying/harassing Pokimane in video after video after video. Seems like a right **** from what I've seen over the years, so I don't get why some people get up in arms about idiots like this getting 'deplatformed'.

The douche was instigating harassment and violence. Of course people like that should get kicked off. It's not their right to be able to monetise the ***** they spew in the name of drama and views.

It has highlighted the issue though that twitch haven't given a specific reason for his ban, as is the case with the Doc. Which I'm not sure is the best approach. Sure you can kick anyone you like off your platform, but surely you should give them a reason?

Maybe they don't as it just opens them up to legal retaliation if that person is earning a living from their platform, so they've figured out the best course of action is to STFU unless it does end up in court.

It's almost certain that they have given Dr D a reason, but he's not willing to reveal it. He'd be more likely to take up legal proceedings for lost earnings if they didn't.

He now knows why he has been banned (for months) and is "suing the **** out of Twitch" (Literally his words)

With that kind of confidence it seems like he is certain that he is not at fault for the ban.

Language warning for the video

Whilst I love Doc, I would seriously be cautious about believing what he says, I’m not sure if he is actually suing them or if it’s all an act and part of his character.

Who knows.
