Dr Michael Mosley goes missing during hike on Greek island

I looked at map path Michael walked from Saint Nikolas beach to home in Pedi, that only 10 mins walk in hot 37C on Wednesday. That the same length 10 mins walk from my house to ASDA, I manged to walked to ASDA to get shelter to cooled off from hot 30C sun then bought sun lotions and ice cream few years ago then walked back to home just fine alive without faint episode.

I found a video on youtube, a guy walked through Pedi to Saint Nikolas beach, I started video at 3:38 in Pedi from that point of Michael home on the map and walked on the same path Michael walked on coastal rocky path and steps to reached Saint Nikolas beach in 10 mins walk. The beach water are crystal clear, there are probably taxi boats passed coastal that the drivers and public must been seen Michael walked on coastal path. If Michael fell down into water, people walked passed on coastal path spot where Michael fell will see Michael in the crystal clear water or drone will found it instantly easy.

It is bizzare he is still missing for 2 days now. There was a report of Michael sighting after reported missing saw Michael chatted to locals in Pedi? Maybe Michael could be into swingers club that his wife not aware of his dark secret and maybe someone tied Michael to a chair in a house somewhere in Pedi?
No I’m sorry, I’m afraid the over exposure to the sun has obviously caused permanent damage. Either that or I’m reading your post whilst having a stroke.

Someone else said possible kidnapping, so this makes sense, the local swingers club have kidnapped him.

On a serious note I hope he is found safe and well, but not looking good. :(

Michael Mosley's father died aged 74 from type 2 diabetes, heart failure and dementia.

74 ain't exactly early! Type 2 is something lifestyle controlled too. HF again can have lifestyle controls.
Dementia is the one that's interesting as more is being learned it does look like lifestyle plays a major impact.

It's not exactly steep or cliff edge that path. Can't imagine falling into the sea from there..

Visited Symi many moons ago with my then young family and it’s all hills once you get more than a couple of hundred metres in from the shore.

Not sure how you’d get lost on Symi as it’s a very small island and you can see the sea from every hill and ridge.
At this point I’m guessing a fall for some reason, and bodies aren’t that easy to find. It took months to find Julian Sands, and it sounds like there’s only a handfull of people looking for Mosley.

Yea the swingers club has tied him to a chair. Highly probable. How about something more plausible like he's gone off with a younger woman? Or something dark like his wife has offed him for his money.

His walk was coastal and also towards the centre of the island. I would guess that with it being a rocky path it was an accident and he has fallen off a cliff somewhere or into water. The med doesn’t have tides (not more than a few cm) and most of the time the waters are pretty tame so he won’t have gone far if he was in the water.

Sad news. Each hour passing means more bad news.

I have visited Symi on a day trip when in Rhodes, Very pretty island with pastel colour buildings but if you want to live there, expect to walk up/down several hundreds of steps as many properties are up in the hills. Didn't visit Pedi which is east to where I spent a few hours in Ano Symi, the main village on the island

I don't like it when someone "It's a simple path". Sure to a local it is, but to an outsider it's like a confusing place, even worse when you got weather conditions which stress you a bit.
It gets dark at 8-9pm in Greece so he had 8 hours to get his bearings. But then you would always have visibility of the most populated part of the island when you climb up high or it turns dark and the lights go on.
