Hmmm, me and a couple of friends want to go see this tomorrow hopefully. Quite looking forward to it.
I'm still a bit confused how a 15rated film can be the scarist film of the year ?
It must take a lot to get the 18rated tag now adays....
I've not seen it and I prob wont since my gf hates horror films
I just literally came back.
It was a good movie with the odd "jump" here and there, but in truth that was more down to the sound (which for some reason in my local cinema this time around was INSANELY loud) but it wasn't super scary.
Having said that, it is worth watching, as it doesn't take itself to seriously.
OMFG some of the comments on here...do some of you people actually watch recent horror films?! THEY SUCK!
I didn't find this film scary but then I never really do...entertainment wise it was amazing.
Humour, violence, twisted moments of complete madness! I choose my films wisely when it comes to picking a film in the cinema and this was a great choice. I've just bought myself the Evil Dead trilogy to show my faith in Mr.Raimi's talent.
8/10 film no doubt about it, but each to there own I suppose. The girlfriend also enjoyed it even if she found herself constantly jumping out her seat which gave me even more of a giggle.
^ ^ You lost me a bit. You're saying recent horror movies suck (recent: My Bloody Valentine 2009, Martyrs, Mum & Dad, Midnight Meat Train, Laid to Rest?) and then go and rate this film an 8.
Saw this Friday night - to be honest came away feeling the film had no idea what it really wanted to be. Half of it was this intense, dark psychological horror, and then you had campy horror-comedy moments that didn't fit with the them of the film and broke the consistency.
Not a bad film, but overrated IMO.
