Dragon Age Inquisition

You didn't have to do that!

You could do that!

To play DA:O to it's full potential and make the combat awesome, you need to make use of the excellent companion tactics. You can easily just leave other characters to it then if you really want to.

This is what I did, after the first 10 or so hours and you have got your team. I just made sure they were set and ready to go and tweaked their default 'tactic' builds. Such as archers NOT engaging until tank engaged, DPS focusing same target as tank etc etc.

I then played any character I felt like from time to time. Mostly the tank/DPS. Spellsword.

I am another person who like DA2, i am a one button kind of guy who does not multitask very well :D. As for mages in DA I i dont care how few spells i get long as i can bind it to one key and look good while i cast it for the next 200+ hrs of game play :p

God why are these final weeks dragging so much. It's torture, especially with all the videos that are coming out almost daily.

Also, quick question. I have pre-ordered from Origin. Can I play from midnight Thursday 20th?

For services to DA:2 I'm pleased to announce the return of.... ULTRADAD!!!!:D

All these people liking DA2...what is the world coming to?!

I choose to believe these people did not say such things and that little part of the forum was just my imagination playing tricks. :D

I did, but I kept changing the automation because they kept engaging different types of unit which required different tactics. Maybe I was just getting too anal about them performing their best and got bogged down. Either way, the realtime switching seems to address my main concern so I think I'll have to get this.

Hmm,to be honest this does nt look fantastic. Just checked the Videogamer Youtube video and it looks and feels like Dragon Age Lite, nowhere near the freedom and scope of the first one.

Check their video out, it seems a bit "meh"... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENi6XbJU4wA&list=UUR1wCXM9e7NshYfonwa5BAg

Really not liking the graphical style, reminds me of WoW with all the overly vivid colours, and the damage pops ups ad real-time stats don't look quite right to me, too big somehow. I also think games with this level of control over your characters and tactics etc are much better suited to PC, so I won't buy it for PS4.

Always going to be stuff that might not be for everyone in games.
you need to design with the way you want the game to be played.
story/tactical/visually however dragon age inq seems to be outstanding.

Then many like one game and then compare it to any other game that comes out and never reach the satisfaction due to the romance love of past history. Then no game will be good enough for them.

I particularly liked the way anyone using a bow could aim the opposite direction of the target and the arrows would still shoot towards the enemy :p

I just watched Angry Joe's impressions vid. Let's just say I will not be playing as an archer. The combat looks awful!

Don't forget that was Nightmare difficulty in the tutorial with minimal abilities.

It might and probably will pick up once you get your party and some more abilities. I remember how bad the combat in Origins was during the tutorial and Wilds areas with so few abilities and stats too.

second that.
visually it is impressive.
gameplay is key tho

I think gameplay looks pretty good it just seems that the face value from the auto attacks is making it looks bad. Once you get your ability chains and party comp going I expect that will change completely (guessing of course).

Really looking forward to this now after Angry Joe's video (single handedly made me preorder). Doesn't look as good as Origins but then I don't think that could be topped really, it was almost perfect.
