Dragon Age Inquisition

Angry Joe had to take his video down. Apparently he showed too much. I think it is back up now with a few edits though... I certainly noticed a few pretty big spoilers in there to be fair.

Some things about DA:I I don't like that I posted earlier ie no manual atrributes,no magic healing, and now even mages spells been dumbed down,

I hope this game is not dumbed down but can't say I happy about mages skills being reduced.

Have to disagree with that sentiment. Whilst DA:O had a lot of spells, their function was either OP or mostly useless. Shapeshifting especially..

I've got to disagree here, it all depends on your play style, I replayed this game quite a few times and always ended up mixing the magic about and while I agree some of the spells were OP I did find the majority of them did have some usage.

So similar to how magic was "streamlined" in Skyrim?

You basically have 3 options, control, power or healing.
so you can just use 3 spells minimum one for each.
More options dont mean better its like BF4 and BF3 and such where weapons have a lot of stuff to be added but dont mean anything.
I dont understand why they dont make a weapon that does exactly the same dmg but just change the looks, everyone then have exactly the same chance in a MP game as Battlefield then.

While more options seems like more choice it really isnt, as you will use the weapon that allows either the gameplay you want or the most advantage. Snipers for example in BC2 was way to OP so I use the CG rocket to take them out, naturally they said what I did was no skill and they died and whined due to them couldnt do the OP aiming a sniper rifle has, for me that is no skill using a weapon you can quick shot with and the other player cant move aside to avoid the shot? So the snipers left the server after a while as I was no fun playing against. Me and my buddy dominated the whole team on the other side in a game a few years ago the admin said, I dont belive it two guys beating us down. Cudos to him.

People will whine and complain, its what we do. Dragon age seems for me to be a game that holds my interest, nice visual look with new engine so tired of the old textures games use.
I also await Grim Dawn RPG game once they are finished with it.

You can make it OP in many ways in a game that suppose to take 4 years to make and then is over in 20 hours? That seems like much wasted time to spend designing it. Simplified magic might be needed to offer more tactical choices as they done in dai, you have to choose how to deal with the treat and not go bashing into it.

watched the MultiPlayer, and how the Bioware team died a lot.
Good, hard and a challenge.
some wont like that either.

For those that have pre-ordered, is there anyone that has done it via the mexican origin? Not done it before, but feel that £60 vs £27 is a big difference!

If I were to order on Origin Mexico do I need to use a different account and a VPN or can I just get a key and add to my normal origin account?

Make sure your paypal is saved as a method of payment as it makes it easier. Get a Mexican VPN, add it to your basket and then when it asks you to login, disconnect from the VPN and carry on. You'll have to complete the process in Spanish and the email receipt you'll get will also be in Spanish, but the game is English and will show up in your Orgin games list just fine.

Finally got to mess around on Dragon Age Keep this evening. I thought it was rather cool and thankfully the system hooked up with my original Warden, despite the mess of linked accounts and forgotten ancient passwords. Minor panic averted... well not so minor. :D

From a strictly personal view, I'm glad (but somewhat surprised) there are no healing spells. Having a healer made DA2 and especially DAO a bit of a face roll. Spamming potions was the way to go. ;)

more tactical design choice.

Two weeks to the breach:eek::)

The Keep now includes the 'The Last Court'
The last time I played a text based adventure was on a BBC Micro:o:D
(before anyone says... yes it does have micro transactions if you're not prepared to wait for things to replenish)

In other news....:
Bull's the Daddy!!:o;)

That's ok, I most likely won't play DAI at all anyway - just seemed analagous to how magic was streamlined in the Elder Scrolls series.
