Dragon Age Inquisition

I used Korea when I did mine. I logged onto VPN, started the download, then disconnected from VPN. The speed will drop for a minute or two when you do d/c, but it picks right back up again pretty quickly.

Then its just a case of dial in on VPN before you boot Origin, then d/c once its open (and DA has play button enabled).

Any chance of a screenie?, ive just started a DA:O play thru to get ready for DA:I.

Here is my character, Ned Smanks, for some reason, walking about in his pyjamas -

I also now live out in the sticks, downloading at 3mbps :(

Going to take a couple of hours. Time for lunch!

Taken a punt on this as I loved DA:O and deliberately skipped DA2.

Ordered via SimplyCDKeys, who normally send straight away, but haven't got it yet. How long have other people who have used them had to wait? Or will I get it on Friday?

As was aiming to pre-load as haven't played a title on release for a while now.

Edit:
Just read their email "Pre-Order CD Keys / Codes are sent out 24 hours before the official release date."
Sleep deprivation kicking in I think!

I got it instantly from... I can't remember, second cheapest on allkeyshop.com as it was a 'bonus' key. What ever that means.

I enjoyed the Mass Effect series. In just a few words, will I like this? Never played any DA game before.

Possibly. Depends if you like fantasy settings as well as sci-fi.

I'm not a huge fantasy fan myself, give me a laser over a sword anyday, but I did enjoy DA Origins.

Think of ME1's Citadel in a fantasy setting with a similar combat system, minus the cover.

If you went a Mage you'd probably feel at home. Just think of it like ME's biotic / tech powers.

Fiddling with graphics settings, my 780GTX can just about stick everything on Ultra, I've forced FXAA and removed MSAA in game settings.

Well I liked Skyrim, so magic and swords aren't new to me. I'll give this a try then I think..

Switched to a controller as the PC controls are so bad, plus the tactical camera is barely worth it tbh... The combat really is the weakest part of the game, and it is a real shame it has become so arcadey.

Explored a few more areas now. Skyhold is great, Storm Coast is great, Crestwood is bloody great! The size and customisation in Skyhold is incredible.

Loving the game atm...really don't think the companions are particularly good though tbh.
