Dragon Age Inquisition

I did it, I restarted to Rogue, my gf is playing Mage so it works out better, we can see how the games playstyles vary. I want to be a ruthless rogue, made him look very mean and someone you simply wouldn't trust. Looks like the king slayer from Witcher 2 actually...

Anyway. A question, I was watching a rogue gameplay on yt and he had some form of slow time spell?

As for the rogue, MUCH prefer it's play style to the mage. I like controlling combat rather than just spamming DPS.

Sweet jesus... I have a very annoying niggle at the back of my mind to play as a rogue... Should I do so? I'm level 11, 24 hours in. Not unlocked Skyhold yet, I could skip 90% of dialogue on the replay up until the same point making it a little quicker... Or should I just stick it out?
In the grand scheme of things if you are going to be putting hundreds of hours in you may as well restart, you could always just flick back if you don't like it, Id love to play a rogue I just love taking the beating as well

Ah, the second wave is a pain. I basically distract the enemies as much as possible with my party and use the actual rift to knock them down by disrupting it. Took a few disrupts but it certainly helped. The down time from my main taken to disrupt did more damage than if I didn't bother.

Interesting, May have to give this a go. I picked the Templar's last night and did the red jenny+Vivviene side bits and did the fallow mire and I think I am now lvl 12 :) Done about 18-20 hours now I think and I feel as though I have barely scratched the surface

Read above buddy :D

I did restart, glad I did. Tonight will be focusing on blitzing through the Hinterlands the best I can and working up to Skyhold. I want to put the same amount of hours in, roughly. I wouldn't mind being a bit quicker.

How do I skip cut scenes? They are long and boring as hell.

Play a different game. If you are finding the cut scenes boring and not interested in the story, then I don't think you will enjoy this game.

If you're seriously wanting to play and skip the scenes, then press X (xbox 360 controller), some can't though.

Pfft, I posted it about a minute after you which means I was writing my response at the same time you posted :P

I Also tried the multiplayer last night and found it rather lacklustre

Oh god, you tried the MP? I'd rather eat socks haha. It's not good. It's a slap on for the console kiddies if anything.

Just completed this last night.

It took me 112 hours but that is with completing pretty much all the quests and side quests. The only ones missing are the companion side quests you get if you're in a relationship with them, I got some of them but couldn't get them all.

It's a game that has it's obvious flaws, the PC controls being the main one, but it's still absolutely brilliant. I was totally hooked on the main story (even if it is a little short) and I thought the majority of the companions were really interesting characters which encouraged me to use them all at some point. Normally I just have my party and stick to using them.

By the end I was level 24 or 25 and annihilating everything in my path :D Even to the point where I did too much damage, too quickly to the last boss and found a bug which means the cut scene doesn't start!

Very intriguing ending as well.......

Man I love/hate this game. Still only played about 10hrs of it as I took a break due to skyhold always crashing (for the longest time I couldn't get past the cutscene into skyhold which made me put the game on the back burner for months) I can get into skyhold now but I still have constant crashes in there. Really love the game but my patience is wearing thin. Is there any fix for this?

How often and why crashing?

I've had probably about 5 crashes in total since I bought this. It's a pain, but it's not game breaking. What GPU? OC? This game is VERY intensive so maybe remove all OC's and see if the crashing goes?

In skyhold I'm usually crashing at least once an hour. Often more. Can be doing anything to cause it. Out of skyhold it's not as bad but can still happen. My cards are 2x 290's I've tried both crossfire on and off. I've dropped the resolution to 1080 and just running 1 card which still gives me the problems. The cards aren't overclocked either. Just thinking though they are undervolted to help with the heat they produce so perhaps id have to put them back to stock which would definitely mean only 1 card can be used.

It's worth mentioning that up until skyhold I had no real issues with crashing at all.

Now crashed 3 seperate times in the fallow mire with my cards undervolted and running at standard

I really want to love this game i really do.
But every time i come back to play after a patch release, there still seems to be a game breaking bug around.
I currently cannot roll a warrior of any type either sword and sheild or 2h weapon.
I create a character all fine, game goes through cutscene, then spawns me into a limbo world with minimal health and no objectives and nowhere to go. Tried re rolling several times with different race etc.
But still no luck ive been playing a mage for a while fancied a changed of gameplay. But oh no i cant do that. So sad!!

Is there a work around for this?

I really dont want to shelve it again its so close to being a great game just frustrating with the bugs.

Seems like a simple test really, bring back to standard volts and see how it goes after a few hours...

Reinstall? As in, PROPERLY delete all files once installed from Origin.

Why would I want to play a different game? I'm not interested in the blah blah blah, I just want to enjoy the visuals and the game play.

That's why most games have a skip facility for cut scenes...

Which this does, press X.

Enjoy.

Because DA is essentially an interactive story

I've tried the standard volts and it still crashed this lunch time. I realise now my last comment wasn't clear I meat id run it undervolted and at standard volts.
