Dragon Age Inquisition

I've tried the standard volts and it still crashed this lunch time. I realise now my last comment wasn't clear I meat id run it undervolted and at standard volts.

Ahhhhh, googled around? I've heard it can crash here and there and experienced that, but not to that extent so I wouldn't give up hope. There must be a fix.

I want to say ‘each to their own’ but I can’t quite get my head around playing a Bioware game without getting involved in the story, that’s normally their games saving grace. But whatever you find fun!

I seem to be one of the people who’s having terrible issues with DA:I, I’ve kind of managed to ignore the graphical glitches but the crashes just make it impossible for me to get into the game anymore, I’m just sat there thinking ‘next one can’t be far away’

Going to use it as an excuse to do a complete system reinstall, single, SLI, 970 or 780, new or old drivers and all the ‘fixes’ and setting combinations I can find on the web, makes no difference.

I hope it sorts it out, then I may even restart from scratch even though my mage is lv 14 I feel I’ve not enjoyed it as much as I could have done.

Most of what I find from Google is older threads which lead me to believe that it was possibly fixed but clearly it's not. I could try running it in mantle but I don't like not being able to monitor my gpu temps since these 290s can get a touch warm.

I enjoy the story as such, I just don't need long drawn out cut scenes it just ruins the flow of the game play for me. I've really enjoyed this game so far, I'm only around 10 hours in. I don't have the luxury of sitting for hours playing this, and I love the fact I can play for half an hour and save game knowing that when I load up again I'll be exactly where I left off. I wish every game was like that.

With an hour to spare to lose myself in a RPG, I don't want 10 minutes of that to be banal dialogue when I've already got the jist of what's going on.

I can understand that, its good that they seem to have done quite well at portraying the story in this game without the need for all the cut scenes or dialogue chains, Mass Effect on the other hand would be almost impossible I'd have thought.

Personally I normally spend more time reading all the codex's and listening/watching all the dialogue then playing the actual game.

Long as it's fun it doesn't matter how people play, even if I don't understand how sometimes :)

Aye.

As for graphical glitches, REALLY annoying, still getting flickering textures commonly. Really breaks immersion... "Oooo, pretty waterfall, shame for the tree textures flickering over there"...

Playing this on PS4 right now and it looks cracking. From what I have seen there is not a huge difference in looks compared to PC. One thing that sucks on console in the load times. How are they on pc and is anyone running off ssd ?

I'm running from an ssd and find the load times vary massively between directx mode and Mantle. In DirectX it's quite quick but Mantle seems to take an age to load. Which is a shame because Mantle runs much faster and smoother once it has loaded.

Right ended up buying for pc and side by side is looks a lot nicer than the ps4 version. got everything on high and locked the frame rate at 50.

Only hassle I am getting is random crashing during cut scenes. Some kind of missing directx problem. After googling it it would seem its very common as there are pages and pages of people having the same issue.

Anyone on hear have any crashes etc
