I’m only speaking for myself here, but I’ve mentioned numerous times that I don’t want to dislike a game, overly criticise it or poke fun at it, and certainly don’t want studios to close with the loss of talented people, but the way things are going its inevitable. We’ve moved away from simply not liking something because it doesn’t jive with you. You need it to actively fail and take pleasure from it
Look at Concord and Dustborn just to name 2, then you’ve got assassins creed next year and this probable dumpster fire.
Obviously the studios can’t cater for everyone, but for gods sake pandering to a minuscule demographic because Sweet baby inc has infiltrated the studio won’t and hasn’t ended well. The sales figures speak for themselves.
Make good games, people will buy them and studios will flourish.
Not exactly rocket science is it?
