Very cool film and awesome soundtrack. Might not be what some are expecting but a solid 7/10.

One of the most stylish films I've seen for a while.

I've just come back from watching it, have to agree with what you've said.

I'd give it a slightly more generous 8/10

I noticed some people really didn't rate it when I was walking out though!

I've listened to it about 40 times all the way through

Soundtracks and novels =Best combo ever. It's also pretty cool to listen to whilst driving pretending to be Ryan Gosling

Loved it, such a breath of fresh air compared to other films of the same ilk.

Easily 9/10 for me. Not what I was expecting but brilliant none the less. And the soundtrack is awesome!

Gosling was brilliant!

I saw this last night and really really enjoyed it. Like some of you have already said it wasn't what I was expecting it to be at all but I think the film was better for it. Also the soundtrack is canny good and I will be getting it later today. Did anyone else think that Gosling was kind of Terminator-esque at points with how he moved around combined with his lack of talking. It was a bit chilling at points!

I thought that exact same thing!

The music that played in certain scenes helped to portray that image further as well.

Watched it last night. As everyone has picked up on, it was just a lot different to what I was expecting. The whole film has got just a cool vibe about it though. Very Brian De Palma. The violance doesnt hold much back, had the missus whincing at a few points.

Cant stop listening to the soundtrack either, flippin fanatastic.

Solid 8-10 from me. Very good film.

Ummm i'm not really sure how you can like or enjoy this movie.

Basicly nothing happened during the whole movie, the only good thing is the soundtrack which comes on in some scenes apart from that its rubbish

Wish some of you guys lived near me - getting tired of going with friends who just arent intelligent enough to look past the shallow veneer of the majority of films out there - more interested in watching Killer Elite than something like this or 13 Assassins (it has subtitles :/)...

OST was epic - pacing was deliberate and made the film so much better for it. Gosling was the right sort of awkward...

Loved the film, my favourite of the year so far. I agree Gosling made a great performance. The soundtrack was also great and I'm listening to it now. Also good to see Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston, finally getting some recognition.

I can't understand how people don't like this film. My friend thought it got boring in the second half but I think he lacks an emotional complex anyway.

Got boring in the 2nd half? What?! Nothing happens for the first 45 mins and then it EXPLODES!

it's not perfect, certain things, the pawn shop heist and the ending could've been better but the atmosphere of the way it is shot, coupled with the perfect soundtrack made that a great viewing experience.
