Yep, on cold start only the left exhaust outlet is open, once the exhaust has warmed up both sides are open. Those exhausts are real. The second one is closed when the engine is cold.

I'm talking about M135i...120d only has one exhaust outlet, but a twin pipe exit.Must sound ace on a 120d after both opened
Hilariously a 120d is about as quick as that amazing sports car that is the Toyota GT86

And I don't see a 120d that will hit 60 in 6.4 sec?
You mean 7.6 seconds. So my mistake, the 120d is actually materially quicker at 7 seconds.

Only with the low grip OEM tyres
Its a petrol vrs a diesel. For a start the diesel doesn't even pass as a car and secondly diesels are always quick 0-60 but after that they have no top end and most petrol engined cars will win.You mean 7.6 seconds. So my mistake, the 120d is actually materially quicker at 7 seconds.
