Dubstep thread

Cheers. I've only heard of Rusko from that lot so will check tham all out at some point this weekend. I must admit Dubstep is great. No idea why I always saw it as chavy.

My sister mentions Caspa to me today, I haven't had a listen yet though. Where are you going to see Flux?

I've not missed a Waxon/Metropolis night since new year 08/09 at Leeds uni. Best night in Leeds IMO at the moment. Great sound system and 4 rooms open when its a big night. Sometimes they have Valve soundsystem night which are awesome (not so good for the tabs the day after though) About 3 months back it was so packed with people dancing on an upper floor that the ceiling caved in!!! No-one was hurt but it took ages to get out the place lol

edit - 42 minutes into this podcast now and my B&W speakers are shaking stuff off my table. Some nice low bass in there :)

The original list you gave me was amazing. I'm on to some of the other tunes now. Which Podcast do you mean? As I couldn't see one unless I'm being plain blind.

Yeah in Huddersfield which Isn't too far away at all. I see it's only £20 tonight on the door, shame as I can't afford to come due to my ticket tomorrow costing me £14 and until Vegas has been and gone in September I don't have much spare income.

If I can afford I might come over in a couple of weeks for the set. Where abouts do you live?

Yeah a few of my mates have been to them and they say it's alright. To be honest I never go out drinking so have never atended anything like that, mainly due to the GF being a drinker and not liking me going into town etc.

Woah, you not getting the money back from your mates though? If you ever get tickets for out and one person pulled out let me know and I'll have a think about taking one off you. That's what happened in regards to tomorrow night actually as my mate posted on FB he had a spare ticket so I snapped it up.

Cool, I actually go to Headingley to watch Yorskhire CCC. Do you live near the Cricket ground?

Bout a 10 minute walk, near Dominos pizza. Yeh, i got the money tonight, dont worry!

Was a class night tonight, it was mainly a DnB night though so Flux played some DnB. Was good at the start then went a bit weak then dropped mega heavy and i was flying :) Andy C was also good and Joker played some good tunes. London electrikity is a bit weak for my liking along with the other drum n bass.

I saw the ones that I went for though so all was good (plus a bit of live rock in a bar before)

Make sure you always get money. As somehow, god knows how though, I never spend a lot yet drink a lot. Maybe my round never comes lol.

Yeah I bet it was great. I've been talking to my Sister and when she next comes to hudds we will be hitting a Dubstep set.

Listening to that track now, and all I can think is, how the hell did he do that in one day?

My housemate went to this (Leeds uni?) and he had a spare ticket, he couldnt sell it outside because touts were trying to sell loads for £15 each

He said he was glad he went but it wasnt related to dubstep at all really.

I would have gone if I hadnt had 3 hours sleep the night before then worked on saturday, but only for the fact of seeing her before she hits the bigtime

Thanks for all the songs you listed above for me to try out mate. I've throughly enjoyed listening to them and I have started going through the thread.

Yeah the set wasn't really a dubstep set at all, as she sang songs from the album which if you like the album you would have enjoyed last night.

Moved from Lakota to Motion, not too sure if that’s a bad thing because they are both sick venues, suppose it means not having to que to smoke and less stairs :)
